Yup, the folks who work at major car companies were like "hey we could make way more money by offering bare bone vehicles......nah let's make less money..." If there was a market for the non-creature comfort vehicles you want then somebody would've stepped up to fill it.

If you don't want one, don't buy one. Why would you want to prevent others from having a choice?
