  1. Trim Piece Needed?

For more than a year and a half, I have assumed I did not order the proper option to cover this gigantic hole/mount in the cargo area trim. Then I discovered….duh…. It was to attach the soft top (?). Wouldn’t you think Ford would have provided a snap in plastic piece to cover this area...
  2. Heavy Duty Cabin Air Filter?

This is the cabin air filter out of my Daughters Outer Banks. Doing its job…. Wouldn’t want to be breathing all those acorns. Looks like a squirrel has been sitting on top of it cracking and eating acorns, and also a small section of the filter! Is there not some barrier or grill in the...
  3. My Ford Performance Parts Order

Needed to change my rear differential fluid. With points, I was able to get the FPP differential cover (with a drain!) for $46. Placed the order and waited eagerly. The Motorcraft synthetic gear oil is on the shelf waiting. The box finally arrived and I opened it eagerly. Inside I found a...
  4. Windshield wiper pump failure replacement

I believe my wiper pump has crapped out on my 2.7L Badlands. Anyone know how difficult it is to access for replacement? Not sure you can even see it on the 2.7L installation.
  5. Cabin Air Filter changed - photos of old filter

Thanks to posts here, including a “How to do it” video, I ordered a Ford OEM cabin air filter and changed it out today. I live in Houston, so I did not give it a lot of thought. Not a lot of dirt flying around here. When I removed to old filter, I was pretty surprised about how much dirt was...
  6. Windshield Replacement this morning.

After 13 months of ownership, i had one large windshield “star”, one “chip”, one larger star and double crack…growing, however, none on the drivers side. My wife indicated I needed to replace the windshield before we head up to do some off-roading in northern Arkansas since it’s directly in her...
  7. Rear Wiper Cover Removal

It appears the rear window wiper motor cover just snaps off. Any tricks to getting it off, so I don’t break it?
  8. Anyone “hit” 100,000 miles yet? 50,000?

I’m at 16,000 miles on my 22 Bronco, a little over 10 months into this adventure. I’m retired and don’t do a daily commute so this surprises me. Guess I really like to drive the Bronco!
  9. Which Off-Road Accessories am I missing??

Parked next to this Jeep??? At the marina today. I think I’m missing some accessories….. The nearest beach that you can drive on is about 3 hours away. Public lands, or Big Bend National Park or State Park is at least 10 hours away….
  10. My rear window exploded!

OK, last Monday I was on an off road camping trip out at Big Bend Ranch State Park. This place is west of Big Bend National Park and totally undeveloped…all dirt roads and un-maintained 4X4 trails and primitive campsites. The first day there setting up camp at Guale 1, I had the rear of the...
  11. ROTOPAX Filler Nozzle

Does anyone have a functional alternative to the ROTOPAX filler nozzle? When using it with the Bronco filler funnel, it is nearly impossible to use without getting gasoline everywhere. It’s too safe….. I love the tank. Well done.
  12. New Video Screens with latest OTA update???

Went out to Big Bend Ranch State Park last week for one day of Off-Roading. Had to hotel it as my wife was with me…. When in Rock Crawl mode, I noticed additional video screens. One screen in particular grabbed my attention. A front and top view, which had the forward tire treads imposed on...
  13. I’m too old to be crawling around in the dirt (unless I have to install tire air up / down system)

Headed back out from Houston to Big Bend Ranch State Park next week. I will be trying out “air up”/“air down” system that I built. It’s definitely a copy of what I have seen posted here. Did the individual tire thing last time. It definitely required a lot of hands and knees in the dirt...
  14. Bronco Torx Bolts

Has anyone taken a close look at the Torx(+) bolts (machine screws) on the Bronco? I had not ever noticed the head marking. Is this universal except for the SAS beauty rings?
  15. So, I took my own advice!!

Recently, A WildTrack owner posted he was only averaging 12.8 MPG. I offered the following post: “I would recommend trying this: 1) Find a highway that you can drive a constant speed on without bothering the other drivers. The road should be as flat as possible with shallow turns. No headwind...
  16. Things to be added to the FordPass App

I’m pretty impressed with the FordPass app. Very handy! I would like to see “Battery Voltage” added to the STATUS screen. This would appear to be a simple programming change(?).
  17. Door Drains

We just had about 3” of rain here in Houston over the last few days. I opened my drivers door today and probably a pint of water drained out of the interior of the door at the bottom drain holes. So, here is an area where water may be accumulating. My driveway is not flat but not very angled...
  18. Would never have believed it!!

Watched a “Matt’s Off Road Recovery” video last night where they broke the steering knuckle/tie rod connection on their ”Morrvair” while trying to recover an electrically dead Jeep. After removing the tie rod, they were actually successful in driving the recovery vehicle back out to a highway...
  19. Software Update Change Notes?

Just got back from a “no cell coverage” trip. My FordPass indicates my Bronco operating system (BOS?) software has been updated succe3ssfully. Eagerly, I tried to determine what had been changes/updated/improved. “CLICK HERE TO SEE UPGRADE DETAILS”. Unfortunately, it’s just a poorly...
  20. Trip to Big Bend Ranch State Park

Got back yesterday from a trip into the interior of Big Bend Ranch State Park (in Texas). The Badlands SAS, 2.7L, performed well on both the long trip out there from Houston, and on the many interior FWD Trails to the remote campsites I occupied. Sunrise at the Las Burras 3 Campsite: . On...
