Well, I got my Cobb Intake System Airbox installed today.
It was very easy, w/no issues, other than perhaps pushing in, and installing the physical filter inside the box.
I just replaced my air filter last August and it was already quite dirty.
The Cobb is very well made, and very good...
... or simply drill the air box for that matter.
Besides driving offroad, especially here where I live, it's dusty as all hell.
I installed a Dry and Disposable S&B last fall, and it's already dirty.
This Cobb was on sale so I figured to give it a try, though the filter isn't dry, but oiled...
I went and ordered the Cobb Intake System for my 2.3L BD. It was on sale.
I considered the Roush, but I couldn't find it under $425, while the Cobb was on sale for Tax Day for $335.
I'll post pictures when I install it.
No plans to mess w/the software.
I've used Cobb products in the past on...
Full Synthetic oil is your best bet when it comes to having turbo chargers, which all the Ford Bronco engines have, due to the temperatures they run at, and RPM's they spin at.
As for what is the best oil to use, everyone is going to have their own opinion there. Certainly, at the very least...
I too have the sound-deadening hood insert as well.
As for the engine cover, it was installed after the sound-deadening hood insert was added, which already cut the sound down. but as for the engine cover doing any, I can't say that I notice any. That wasn't why I ever considered putting it on...
Go w/a Limited-Slip for the Rear,
They're cheaper, automatic, and they're available 100% of the time, dirt, pavement, snow, ice, and rain while Lockers have their limitations as to when they can be used like on gravel and perhaps heavy snow.
Ya, I've checked, but w/no luck.
I was also thinking about going w/the fender washers instead.
As for that Frame End Reinforcement I have posted, I finally got the set pictured. Need to install.
Still keeping my eye open for something better though.
Thanks!
Anyone know if it is possible to add a Four Button Switch Setup like this, in place of a Three, which came on my Black Diamond (BD), which includes a switch for my Rear Locker?
I eventually want to add a Front Locker to my BD.
Hi,
Hemisfear, I've been trying to find these, but w/no luck.
Anyone else you know of who might sell something like this.
You wouldn't happen to have any dimensions for these spacers by any chance?
Thanks.
Knock on wood, no issues w/my '23 Black Diamond and its manual transmission.
It hasn't been that cold yet, so that could change once temperatures drop.
The coldest so far has been around 38F.
My present mileage, 3400 miles
Date of manufacture, 04/20/23.
Are there revised transmission models...
Any picture(s) of this weird little bracket at the front of the roofline, something which shows exactly how the cable should be run?
I went and looked at my soft top today, including popping the front latches and lifting the forward section up.
Still trying to figure what is the right way that...
