Definitely something I’ve considered also. But I’m also not the most handy so I’ve looked into the Goose Gear seat delete and talked to American Adventure Lab about doing the same. Not the most economical $ (in the $1K range each), but definitely would provide a lot more functionality...
Ah I gotcha, I had the 4 door image in mind as that is my setup. I can’t offer much advice on creating a larger flat space in the back of the 2 door other than a rear seat delete. That would create a nice big flat area, but you’d have to be committed to no back seats. Something I’ve been...
I think that’s fair advice, I’ve heard the same. In regards to the crates sitting level - which parts don’t seem level? Mine sits just on top of the Ford cargo mat without issues/rattling.
How do you like that little platform on the roof rack? Looks like it could be the reasonably priced Amazon ones? Was thinking of a temporary solution before I axe the OEM rack and spend the $ on something more functional.
I believe it is the Intermediate size. There is room in the cargo area to go larger if needed. She is 50+ lbs. and fits fine, but if it were up to her I'm sure she would appreciate the Large size lol
I think my post brought it back to life/top of the recent post list. Was doing some digging on mounting ideas. Let me know if you end up making a small batch and selling them!
This is excellent! I’ve been keeping an eye out for a manufacturer to put out OEM bar mounts, but doesn’t seem like any have done so yet. I think just about anybody with the rack that wants options would be interested in these.
Amazing photos! Appreciate you sharing them and the info. Like you mentioned, everyone I've talked to says Bryce isn't to be missed so we'll definitely be headed there. Willis Creek Slot Canyon is now on the list, looks awesome. I'll update this with our pics afterwards.
Thanks, good advice. Early start is definitely our plan and we'll be trying for a few specific hike reservations that they do a lottery for the day before. The websites for both Bryce and Zion say that most areas/entering the park don't require permits, but I'll continue to research and make...
No kidding. Reservations are serious these days with the crowds. We got lucky in Yosemite at the end of April the day before they closed the park due to flooding. Nobody showed up after the park put out the news of closing for a few days, so we got the park to ourselves (it felt that way at...
We definitely missed out on the camp grounds reservations in the park, but are totally fine finding something outside of the park. We'll be doing the day before lottery to try and hike Angels Landing (I've never been/done it), but not getting my hopes up. Got lucky with a Mount Whitney permit...
Hi all - I'll be road tripping from SoCal to Utah later this week in my Shadow Black Basesquatch. My brother just took delivery of his Ford Maverick Tremor in Texas and we'll be meeting up in Zion to explore the park, do some camping, and a bit of trail riding.
I've seen some pretty amazing...
