  1. 2.3L Big Bend MPG after 784 miles: 20-25 MPG

I'm at 8K miles in my BL 2.3 MT. Haven't reset the MPGs yet and it's at 19.7. This truck loves running 40-60 MPH, but start losing MPGs over 70. I lose MPG on interstate trips and gain some back driving around town. Seems pretty backwards, but driving a cube against the wind is hard work.
  2. 17-18 MPG in Suburban Driving With 2.3 EcoBoost

Getting 19mpg on 91 ethanol-free. About to hit 3K miles and noticed ~1mpg improvement around the 1500 mile mark.
  3. Low speed squeal

I had this issue as well, but on a 2.3L. I only noticed the sound when I was turning into the neighborhood, but it went away on its own after a week or so.
  4. Cupholder Inserts recommendation?

Does anyone have a recommendation on an adjustable cup holder insert? The factory cupholders are too big for cans and water bottles, but too small for coffee cups, tumblers, etc.
  5. Door bolts loosening

Since I really cranked them down they haven't re-loosened so there must be some minimum torque spec. We will see how they hold up now that colder weather is here. EDIT: just saw the above post on the spec.
  6. $150k For the only 2 door in the USA

Impressive that he's making the local stealership look reasonable for their 2D First Edition @ $114K.
  7. Touch Screen Freezing

I have the smaller Sync 4 system and I have had an issue where the screen stops responding to touch. Android auto is still working and the voice commands (Ford and Google) still work, but touch input no longer registers. Just to be clear, the screen itself is still working (navigation tracks or...
  8. Lane Keeping Assist

I turned mine off after the first day. I'd rather have the extra real estate on the screen especially since the tach is hard enough to read as it is (7MT).
  9. What type of gas are you putting in your bronco?

91 only so far. Pretty much the only way I can get ethanol-free gas.
  10. Soft Top Owners, How Are You Liking It?

It's pretty quiet with the top up around town. Phone calls are not a problem. Interstate is a little louder but not as loud as I thought it would be. Phone calls are still not a problem at highway speeds. If you have the top flipped back though... es no bueno.
  11. Review of the Bronco Interior from Current Owners

I've had mine for a little over a month. I like the MGV, but definitely need a bikini top if you are going to roll with the top back. You could fry bacon on these seats if left in the sun. Cheap plastics don't really bother me that much because of the type of vehicle it is, but there are...
  12. Four Broncos on Display @ Texas State Fair Auto show

Interesting that all the soft tops look like the Bestop Trektops. I wonder if they are changing suppliers for MY22.
  13. 7 speed Manuel Vs 10 speed Auto.

My Bronco has the manual and it is very easy to drive in traffic. Just let the clutch out until it starts rolling and apply brake as needed. The automatic is probably more efficient and faster, but rowing gears is fun. I think a better debate is 2.7 vs. 2.3 because if you aren't going to get...
  14. Soft-Top Latch… Hard to Snap Shut?

I've been having the issue where if the roof lock (lever you push to move the top from half-open to all the way back) is engaged the roof will not fall into place when closing. However, I if release the lock and then close the roof all the way it will fall into place and latch. It's like that...
  15. Door bolts loosening

I picked it up from the dealer with the doors off, but I put them back on and tightened the bolts down. This is the first time I've retightened them so will wait and see if they walk on me again.
  16. Door bolts loosening

So after a couple of weeks of driving, I noticed that the top bolts tend to shake themselves loose. Passenger door started making the clicking noise last week and found the top bolt pretty loose so tightened it up (bottom bolt was fine). This week the driver door started clicking and was once...
  17. It’s 2024. Your second Bronco… what would you like to see?

Powertrain: Either stick shift with a more powerful engine, or a plug-in hybrid. Exterior: more factory options, lights/wench/tires. More colors. Interior: rear cupholders and vents like in the Wrangler. Rear armrest in MGV interior. Some sort of under-seat storage in the back. Nicer materials...
  18. Arkansas Bronco

The Badlands wasn't a demo. Someone that works for Russ Daniel at the dealer ordered two Orange Badlands (one 7MT and one 10AT) and decided to keep the auto. They sold me the manual.
