Yeah this is the part that I was wondering about....
Lets say I lost my mind and decided I wanted to take the fam to explore Silverton/CO area this summer and while we're in CO the motor gives up the ghost. I assume its getting towed to a Ford dealership in CO, we live in TX, how are we getting...
I guess what I am trying to figure out here, is if you have a Lima built AA 2.7 in this Julian range, what makes you think you may somehow be "spared" since the plant essentially pointed out the updated design/material change regarding Nano valves in their "State of the Plant" brochure from...
Complaint: Steering wheel controls, as others have pointed out. Strange placement of buttons compared to other vehicles I've owned.
Quirk: When washing the windshield, you have to bend the passenger side windshield wiper blade to clear the antenna.
I'm no stranger to the pristine vehicle thing myself, and I certainly agree that any vehicle that drives on the road, whether its "on" or off" road, is going to see some sign of use and visible wear and tear to its exterior. That's not my point. But I will say that I have yet to personally own...
This. This right here.
The guys barking about it being an "off-road vehicle" are missing the point. My Bronco has only 400 miles on it and hasn't seen any dirt, yet it has rock chips on both driver/passenger doors. This has nothing to do with what the purpose of the vehicle is and everything...
It's as if an Goodyear engineer set out to specifically create the perfect size tread grove to accommodate the most common gravel/pebble dimensions found on the planet. The absolute worst design. Period. There are several threads about this already too.
I'm just waiting for someone to flag...
Are you paying MSRP for it? I have no idea of the details of your purchase etc, but if you're paying MSRP and they are sticking that on you, it might come as a surprise but at least there is some actual value to it. Walking in and getting blindsided with a $5k ADM, you're out that money right...
I wonder if that person would be the "New Car Inventory" Manager. That's who called me earlier, not my sales person. He was able to tell me that is was in San Antonio and added "the truck its arriving on usually shows up in the evening." He knew all the details, even the specific truck...
Yep, so far so good with Covert. My sales person has been great since this all started, reaching out to me about switching tops etc. to get it sooner. Pretty sure some folks have had little to no communication from their dealerships....so I feel fortunate to say the least.
FYI, another TX order. Mine was a 10/18 blend date, shipped out on 10/20 and an 11/2 -11/8 ETA.
Got a phone call this morning from the dealership saying it was in San Antonio and should be here in Austin later this evening.
Fingers crossed.
Yeah I circled back with them here recently after hearing of these ADM scenarios starting to pop up. I confirmed in writing as well, so I would hope there are not any surprises when I go to pick it up.
