I just drove round trip from Phoenix to western Wisconsin in my base 4D Bronco Sasquatch. Up to this trip, I had 1000 miles of gravel roads, mining trails, rocky "forest roads" in the desert. My Bronco was so great on the road trip that I forgot that it was actually designed to conquer off...
I agree and I am being optimistic when I am estimating since I would think $4000 is too much for me. Maybe other aftermarket retailers will come under the Ford price, for example Best Top 4 DR soft top is $1500 with free shipping.
When you compare to other aftermarket items like front bumper, skid plates, rock rails...to accessories prices - they can be 50% to double the price. I would expect the mod top to be closer to $3000 as an add on. I doubt it will not be the same as the accessory prices listed here.
I went online to the Ford site and it shows this recall in my Bronco account. I did hear whistling when driving on the highway over 60. I think the driver side window was out of alignment also - I can see the space. Anyway, not looking forward to losing my Bronco for an extended period. I guess...
I will give you an answer for number 1. If you are doing your own oil change, this is where the ARB skids are not so good. You have to remove the front most plate (heavy) and remove all the blots from the second plate. The second plate did not come off at least I could not get the second plate...
I also have a 2.7 and I have found an issue in 4 low - 2nd gear. Either shifting manually or regular automatic, the engine races shifting up or down into second (in 4 low). This causes the Bronco to lurch forward. I have learned to expect it but when you are in a tough part of the trail - it is...
I have the skid plates installed. They are really thick and cover everything except the gas tank. Now I need the bumper...saving up for that or waiting for a discount code.
You have 2 strikes against getting a build date: 1) Tow Package, 2) MIC. Tow you can do easily after your build and with all the issues with MIC 2 (they include the conversion for a hard top with a soft top), it might be better to wait for the top in color. MIC 3, or after market.
The custom ordered vehicle is not the dealer's vehicle. The blue versus green window sticker is one way Ford communicates that this is not for retail. Fremont shows no respect for customers. This dealer show no respect for the relationship they have with Ford. This dealer needs to be shut down.
I have seen a member who claims to be representing Ford on the engine failure thread; so someone in Ford is monitoring Bronco6G.
Dear Ford,
We are a Ford customer even when we buy a vehicle from a dealer. We can change dealers but we are always a Ford owner and a Ford customer. You really...
There is very little in this car market that resembles a free market. You see a price advertised by a manufacturer but you cannot buy it - you have to purchase it from a middle man who does not have to honor the price that was agreed to when you ordered it. In this case it is a bait and switch -...
I don't know how you got $48000 either with the Black Diamond. Grainger might not be the best option since Ford is using a dealer allocation system. Pick the biggest - maybe in Charlotte? There are forums on what not to add in the factory to improve your chances of getting a timely build -...
Great to see the Bronco tooling through Sedona - such a unique place to be. I also like that the Black Diamond was tested off road - is it capable as an adventure vehicle? I love the steelies but I did not like the tires because of the poor ground clearance. I think this is an excellent review.
