  2. Report: Bronco Pickup Scheduled For Production in July 2024

More than likely a similar thing will happen with the Bronco for the first buyers. It's just the way things work. If you want it and have the money you will buy it. You just have to be smart about it and take your time pulling the trigger. The biggest rip off FCA did was the Launch edition of...
  3. Report: Bronco Pickup Scheduled For Production in July 2024

Just pulled up the 2nd quarter numbers. Gladiator not so far behind Ford Ranger and as good as the Colorado. For a not pure truck in some respects still doing OK comparatively. Midsize truck sales: Q2 2020 Model Q2 2020 Q2 2019 Change (%) Chevrolet Colorado 19,843 31,669 -37% Ford Ranger...
  4. Report: Bronco Pickup Scheduled For Production in July 2024

Original numbers were in the 70K to 80K annual range for it to be a success and what they used to move forward with production. Someone got greedy as they got close to release and bumped sales projections to around 100K annually. Things were on track for the 80K until COVID-19 hit. Now everyone...
  5. Today’s Teaser: 2021 Bronco Rear End

Yes. Unlike FCA's JL release screw-up at SEMA 2017 (in regards to accessories available at release). Ford will have the Bronco out front with a complete line of accessories ready to be sold by the dealer when you take delivery. They will be using SEMA as their advertising. The aftermarket...
  6. Today’s Teaser: 2021 Bronco Rear End

That's just it. What is right for one person is not for another. Comes down to unit cost and what is the most likely standard for the consumer. Looks like Ford may have raised the bar with the 35's already. I'm not trying to sound like an A-hole here but it comes down to this. If you want 40's...
  7. Today’s Teaser: 2021 Bronco Rear End

In my opinion those are the standard hinges. I would expect to see some type of brace available at or just after release. Odds this accessory was not yet available when photography was taken. As for 37" tires I can tell you in a past job the question was asked if the heavy duty tire carriers...
  8. Today’s Teaser: 2021 Bronco Rear End

Ford will have the Bronco but it will not be filling upper south hall this year. Majority of aftermarket companies will not have access until the first of the year. If you see accessories at SEMA they will be Fords accessories.
  9. Bronco spotted with huge (37 inch?) tires and (method?) aftermarket wheels

I switched over to 37" on my Gladiator Rubicon after about 500 miles and a 2.5" lift. No problems to report with stock 4:10's. Will be bumping gears to 4:88's or 5:13's in the future. Leaning towards the 5:13's.
  10. New Bronco Official Teaser Shows Cyber Orange, Fenders, Lights, Mirrors

Exactly. For the driver to see the passenger mirror and allow the doors to open fully the mirror heads have to extend further out to be seen. It is the trade off for keeping mirrors on with the doors removed. For Jeep the aftermarket filled the void with trail mirrors.
  11. New camoed 2021 Bronco spy pics wearing 37" tires?!

Yes, I should further clarify that I was talking about ease to allow the 37's to work. A 2.5" spacer lift allows the 37's to clear. It is a budget minded lift option when compared to doing a similar lift on an IFS. The hope would be for Ford engineers to have found a way to allow this with...
  12. New camoed 2021 Bronco spy pics wearing 37" tires?!

Ford is smart. Traditionally IFS is more problematic and costly to lift than SFA. If engineered from the beginning to allow fitment of 37's with little effort it will allow the Bronco to be competitive with the Wrangler out of the gate. It "may" not be offered from the factory but engineered to...
  13. 2 door Bronco mule spotted in Breckenridge CO

In a previous life I had early interaction with Ford regarding a roof rack accessory for the Bronco. At that time there were limitations on mounting and weight. Unless things changed (after November 2019) I do not see the rack shown holding more than a standard version you see on any SUV. This...
  14. 2 door Bronco mule spotted in Breckenridge CO

Depending on how much you are looking to load. The stock roof will not hold much over 120 lbs. The aftermarket will need to supply internal bracing to the factory hardtop for any real load to be placed up top. A roof rack will be problematic for the Bronco at the start.
  15. Leaked pics: IFS, 7spd manual shifter (w/ crawler gear), sway bar disconnect, top latch, EcoBoost engine, AUX switches, front & rear lockers!

There was a place called Tellico that had a trail with a section called Slick Rock. This was the method that could work if enough water and mud were on the rock incline. The second the rear gained traction things could go south fast. It was a gamble move if you didn't want to pull cable.
  16. Bronco teaser at Mike Levines Twitter

My take on this... For new vehicle releases Ford has builders produce SEMA builds that are displayed in the Ford booth. I would assume you will see a number of one-off SEMA built Bronco's in the Ford booth along with the production version. Some stuff on these builds are hints to production...
  17. 2021 Bronco Vs the Competition based on estimated specs

Rumored to be able to replace if needed.
  18. 2021 Bronco Vs the Competition based on estimated specs

Jeep is comming out with the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer that are much larger BOF SUV's. They are to go after the Expedition / Tahoe - Suburban market with more trail rated capability. They will have V8's and possible the new twin turbo I-6 FCA has been developing.
