UPDATE:
I picked up my truck and a few days ago after the fuel pump was replaced. No issues so far and it idles a lot smoother.

Correct, jumping the bronco made no difference. I thought it might be low voltage from the battery at first, but volt meter showed good voltage and the jump made no change.
I also thought it was the fuel pump, but I won't be able to know for sure until I hear back from the dealership. First...

I went the inexpensive route. Ive had the same boards for about 4 years. I lost count how many times I've helped people at the beach with them. They're still holding up great.
I'm having a hard time believing someone at Ford advised you to call police.
