  1. Flat Tow failure

I have the Manual Transmission with 4A. Although I believe it to be splash lubricated and shouldn't have an issue, it could also be turning in flat tow mode just due to the residual friction in the transfer case. I've towed it about 5000 miles with no issues. I haven't seen any reports of MT...
  2. What is Plastic Piece in center of Capable bumper for?

It just pulls off (not necessarily easily) without removing the bumper. Since I don't have ACC, I used that spot on my BD modular bumper to mount my flat tow connections.
  3. What’s this metal piece under my Bronco?

Looks like you have the tapped hole/nuts in place. Might be a worthwhile and easy add-on/update to the 2024 design change.
  4. Snorkel Question

Yep, that's what it says for the everglades: "Deep wading, also known as fording, requires a snorkel that reaches above the water surface for air supply. Design changes on the Bronco Everglades allow for wading in water 36.4 inches deep and offers enhanced vehicle protection." My non-sas BD is...
  5. Snorkel Question

I didn't ask and don't know why the 'desert runners' don't come with snorkels. Maybe they assume they will be out in front and in clean air:)
  6. Snorkel Question

At the Bronco Off-Roadeo they emphasized that the snorkel is NOT for fording water, it is to reduce dust being sucked in. (Turning it rearward might be the best position for that. If you are familiar with Ewan MacGregors 'Long Way Down' documentary, you'll see what happens in a dust storm when...
  7. Aftermarket (Curt) Tow Hitch issue

I have a '22 Black Diamond and the Curt hitch fit perfectly. I put the bolts through from the front, no need to remove the bumper.
  8. Taking the Off Roadeo class... again?

I did some mild off-roading while in Moab, Willow Springs Road and Shafer Switchbacks/Potash Road Plus a couple other easy trails. There are plenty of guided 'tours' in Moab but maybe next time....:)
  9. Taking the Off Roadeo class... again?

I attended the 'complimentary' Off-Roadeo in April 2023 in Austin...It was great! I was in Moab last fall when it was announced that you could take another. I had some time and thought I'd take it in Moab and have my wife accompany me since she didn't ride along in Austin. There were spots...
  10. Installed Diode Dynamics SS3 ditch light kit today...

If you are using the upfitter switches, you don't need the relay and all of the associated wiring. Cut the wires near where the upfitter switch wires, splice the two grounds together and ground to the chassis ground lug near the drivers side hood hinge. Tie the two 'accent' light wires to one...
  11. Cybertruck Next To Bronco

Looks like they need a recall on Cybertruck the Autopark software!
  12. Manual Transmission Noise Poll

Started at about 2,000 miles, 1st and 2nd gear when cold. I took it in for an oil change at ~2,000 miles and I was aware that there was a TSB but it didn't get worse. I had the service writer note that the transmission was noisy but the transmission tech couldn't look at it for a couple of...
  13. 7 pin wiring harness installation?

I'd recommend that you purchase the installation through the Ford site as well or at least tell the installing dealer what the Ford site installation cost is. That way you know what the price will be. I had the dealer install my 4 pin harness. Cost through the Ford site was ~$225. The dealer...
  14. Braptor Brake Controller Install. Did I get taken advantage of?

I had a similar experience with the Ford Performance 'dealer installed' 4 pin trailer wiring harness. I cancelled my order for the trailer towing package because at the time I was waiting on my Bronco the trailer towing package was a production constraint. Since I'll never tow a trailer...
  15. Aeroskin Deflector Removal

The only thing I didn't like about mine was the edge of the hood showing my Cactus Gray color below the deflector. I went to a local sign/wrap shop and they gave me a strip of satin black sign/vehicle wrap material. I cut it into a 1/2" strip and was able to wrap the front/bottom edge of the...
  16. Flat Tow failure

Quick question: are these issues limited to the automatic transmission or are any with the manual transmission? I have the MT and towed over 5000 miles but wondering if there is anything to worry about with the MT. I've experienced on small 'brake failure' light glitch when coming out of flat...
  17. Flat Tow failure

I liked the RVI system with the readout but my previous TOAD used the Demco Stay-n-Play so I went with the Demco Air Force One on the Bronco since I bought a newer RV that has Air Brakes. The RVI system with the auxiliary braking and the tire pressure monitoring would be a great setup but I was...
  18. Hood issues - lifting on one side at high speeds

The bumpers are really soft and I found that I had to compress the bumpers quite a bit to get the flutter to stop. For me, just trial and error. It didn't affect the hood height on mine.
  19. Flat Tow failure

I added the charge line because I could and with my previous TOAD I left the auxiliary braking system on at an overnight camping stop and ran the battery flat. And, it is difficult to jump the TOAD battery from the RV without 40+ foot jumper cables:) My RV has air brakes so the TOAD auxiliary...
  20. Flat Tow failure

If I get a chance this winter I may do a test to see if it shifts out of flat tow TC neutral when it goes into battery save mode. I'm retired so sometimes the Bronco sits for a week or more without being started. I flat towed it about 5,000 miles last fall with no issues but, again, I have...
