Aside from the technical side of this, I think the biggest factor is your dealer. I took one of my vehicles into a dealer with damage I admittedly did, explained how I did it, and it being all my fault, to which he replied, “it just broke and you have no idea why ?” … dealers are different…...
I agree, been seeing so many on lots for many months now, that’s bad, then an email saying if I were willing to change my hardtop to soft, and deluxe interior to less deluxe, MAYBE we will do you a favor and build the car you ordered so long ago.
I bought a Tacoma, TRD Sport, I told dealer exactly what I wanted, drove it home in 5 weeks. It’s been in the snow, dirt and mud, I could not ask for better. The trouble people are having isn’t really my issue, it’s how Ford messed this up so badly, they really proved to me they dont care...
Bought a Toyota about a year ago, I’ve had all that time and many miles of fun in the Toyota , got vin # yesterday, don’t think I want the bronco any more, love the Toyota that’s given me much fun and Zero anger, while ford has been disappointing me at every turn, probably going to pass.
When you fix your top , maybe consider making the locating pins so they can push down from the top to do their job, and not put stress on the area again. Good luck, sounds like you got it figured out and when you’re done I’m sure it will be better than new.
I switched to another vehicle by committing on July 5, drove it home august 10, so happy with my decision, and my only regret is losing a year of fun in my new vehicle while waiting for Ford to pull their thumb out.
While I haven’t waited as long as many, I would like to thank Ford for opening my eyes to the nice vehicles built by Toyota, I told dealer exactly what I wanted and in35 days, I was driving it home. Not sure what I’ll do with the Bronco if it ever materializes, driving it as my own vehicle is...
While enjoying the hell out the vehicle I bought because I was tired of waiting on ford to pull their thumb out, I am deciding what I’ll do with my Bronco if / when it shows up
That’s good, perhaps they can show you an example of the quality you can expect, perhaps the hinge on another vehicle etc. and mention it on your work order ?
I remember reading somewhere that a Speedo intentionally overstates for liability reasons, if it understated and you were pulled over for speeding you could blame the vehicle, much less in an accident.
could be an error. dealer Did brake inspection another vehicle of mine , report said brakes good, ……. 3 thousand miles later, metal to metal, , needs new rotors, I asked dealer how my brakes could go from a rating of Green on their inspection report to destroyed rotors in 3 K, he admitted they...
Your plug will interfere with Fords engineering. the crash bars were engineered to be self plugging, over time they will fill with mud, eventually all one has to do is smooth off the end for a nicely filled bar.
