I thought the same thing with the towing package. I am surprised it’s just a receiver and connectors you can get aftermarket. It must only cost like $200 for that package. Still bummed they didn’t offer a package to beef up the towing to at least 5k.
Interesting how the horizontal line on the signature lights on the passenger side is out. I was looking at the image weird. You have to love pre production.
That’s a good point. Since the video is of test Broncos it could mean that the tow capacity is still being tested. The class II on the ford website with a 3500 lb max tow are most likely place holders until they can give an official tow rating with the class III tow hitch.
Im pretty sure that’s cactus. It’s too light to be Area 51. I think it’s just a filter they put on the image that makes it look blue. Heres a video of it:
Are you planning on getting the Sasquatch package. It comes with 35s, upgraded suspension, flares, and front and rear lockers. I’m planing on getting the BD and adding the package.
I spoke to Gary Yeomans Ford and they said that the $750 rebate is directly from Ford. The sales man said that because we took the time to put down a $100 reservation that Ford offers us a $750 rebate. Has anyone else heard the same thing?
The second quote that says it has to do with removable top I don’t think is true. Then the Gladiator would only be rated for 3500 lbs but has a max towing of 7500 lbs.
I find it weird no matter 2-door or 4-door, engine size, and auto or manual its rated to 3500 lbs. It sounds like Ford really limited the rating on the class II hitch receiver. I really hope these are just place holders and they do further testing since they offer a tow capability package.
