  1. Ceramic coating the MIC top

There's definitely a lot of misinformation out there that can make it out like it's far more than it is. It's not a perfect product but then again, the perfect product doesn't exist. Nothing can protect against rocks and scratches and grime without fail. But ceramic coating definitely provides...
  2. Ceramic coating the MIC top

@Daktari pretty much nailed it. PPF cannot be applied on top of ceramic coating because: PPF will not adhere to ceramic coated panels and can severely hamper performance and longevity. Ceramic coating serves no purpose if it is covered by a layer of film. Think wallpaper on Mona Lisa's face...
  3. First scratch... Bleh!

I know it's your new Bronco and I hate that it was scratched but if you managed that much correction with compound, I would hit it one more time, hard, with cutting compound, then polish the whole area out. That'll probably get it 90% and to a point where you won't notice it without trying to...
  4. PPF Question

I don't think we got a before picture unfortunately. However, if you look at the right half of the second image, you can see the original, uncovered grill, and the left half has XPEL Stealth applied. You'll notice there was next to zero change in the colour and sheen.
  5. First scratch... Bleh!

You might be able to get away with that, unfortunately white scratches like that are often deeper than you think. Provided it isn't transfer. However if you try a decent compound, then a finishing polish it should at least even it out a little. Hopefully to where you don't notice it as much...
  6. PPF Question

That is a great colour! Is that the Anti-matter blue? I've been waiting to see one of those in person. Looks great so far. The Badlands Bronco we have in the shop right now is getting full body PPF including the grill. But it has that satin finish grey grill? So we opted to used XPEL Stealth...
  7. PPF Question

If you're getting quotes for a full respray at that price then that's a no brainer. If its quality work they do then certainly, that makes it a valid option. We don't see good paint work being performed at that price here. If you're not looking to preserve the resale value of a vehicle then...
  8. Ceramic coating the MIC top

100% yes. The two products do two different things. Customer dissatisfaction occurs when they've been misled or fed misinformation. It depends on what you are looking for. Ceramic coating provides unmatched hydrophobics, chemical and grime resistance. PPF provides unmatched impact resistance...
  9. Soft top care and maintenance?

Yeah, getting up top sure is a bit of a trick. We use those collapsible platforms. They are very useful for getting roofs...
  10. Ceramic coating the MIC top

Excellent! CSL is a fantastic product too, we thoroughly enjoy installing it and it continues to perform really well for all of our customers. Are you having PPF installed as well or just coating?
  11. Soft top care and maintenance?

Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric. Have this properly installed on your soft top, either by a local detailer or you can do it yourself if you're not a silly goose, sop that soft top in this and your Bronco will be beading like a freshly waxed duck that just fell in a tub of molten butter on a hot summers...
  12. Cleaning help! Can't remove marks off plastic fender flares

Try getting a plastic safe all purpose cleaner. Gtechniq W5 is pretty intense and cleans very well. Spray it on the fender and take a stiff bristle brush and give it a good scrubby scrub. If it doesn't come all the way out, just repeat a couple of times, working in small sections. Wash, rinse...
  13. PPF Question

Good wash maintenance, regular washing. Not letting it go for weeks in between washes, especially if it is dirty from trail use. Here in GA, we have pretty intense red/orange clay that turns to cement if it isn't washed off soon after, it also stains unprotected plastics and porous surfaces. Bug...
  14. Anyone plan to apply ceramic coating to their Bronco?

Yeah, it's definitely better than nothing but it is unfortunate that they don't offer more. Manufacturers almost never install more than partial coverage if they offer PPF. Partials are fine for those who don't care too much but they require a bit more careful maintenance. Visible edges can...
  15. PPF Question

Hey there, we have had several customers installing PPF on their Broncos, most of which are already on here, you should be able to find a few examples. @PizzaMan did a full bumper to bumper install on his. Factory PPF, even nowadays, is often a little lacking. As you described, they only offer...
  16. Who has done a DIY Paint Protection Film full install on their 2021 Bronco?

It seems like the installers in your local area are dealing with a higher market average! Shame you aren't down here in Atlanta, GA. Our full bumper to bumper PPF coverage on the Bronco's is usually in the $2,800 - 3,200 range depending on a few factors. We commend you for endeavoring to...
  17. Ceramic coating the MIC top

We applied Gtechniq Ultra to the Bronco hardtop and it went quite well. Ultra does darken it to a small degree, at least at time of application, however it doesn't exactly change the colour. Crazy hydrophobic. Gtechniq C4 would also be good on the hardtop as it is a plastic based material, C4...
  18. Video: PPF + Coating Process of My Bronco

Yes sir you are! We are working on it right now my friend and we are very excited to have yet another Bronco in the shop! Thanks again to Rocky @PizzaMan for being so gracious with us, and helping the community see what can be achieved with their new Bronco's! Lots of protection options and...
