it depends on the tire size and wheel offset. I had to remove mine because of the offset. They stick out further than stock. 33s will fit without needing to remove the crashbars if you put them on the stock rims. removing them is just a few bolts each. Depending on the bumper you may also need...
I did mine myself. You need to remove them while the tire is off to make it easier. I also needed to loosen the bumper for the front bar, but I have the base bumper.

if you are keeping the stock rims you should not have any problems. I went with aftermarket rims with 285/70R17s and due to the offset I had to remove the crash bars. Factory offset is -55mm my rims are +6mm.
Got the new tire and wheels on. Pro Comp series 69, 17 inch -6mm offset with KO2 285/70s no lift. I did have to remove the crash bars. Ill have to get some mud flaps
