Just got the email from Ford today, scheduled for production week of 12/5, plus a VIN! Reservation placed 7/20/2020. 2023 model year, 2 door Badlands, Lux, 2.3L, Manual. Coincidentally, I got a similar note from Rivian last week; “we may be getting ready to build your configuration”…. When...
Got the email from Ford today; scheduled for production, week of December 5th. Woo hoo! Got the VIN also….2door Badlands Lux pkg 2.3 Manual. 7/20/20 Reservation…..coincidentally, I got a similar note from Rivian last week…”good news, we may be getting close to building your configuration!
I read all the posts up to this point (page 5), has got me thinking...I am a 7/20/20 Res holder....yep, 2 years and a day waiting. 2D, BL, 2.3 manual, Lux pkg....dropped mod bumper, dropped tow, but still in the list of constrained items, plus a dealership who must be way down the list on...
Not to be a hater and noting to do with “code orange vs race red”, but those flares!!! Ugg!!! Why??
idk…. Seems like either a slightly wider version of the Sas flares would have done the job, or better yet, (Ford!), why not take advantage of the “modularity” and just stamp out some flared...
Yes... I started with Sas / Wildtrack, then switched to Badlands, always intending to go with aftermarket wheels and tires anyway, so then realized suspension - wise, with the Badlands and plans to change wheels & tires, no reason for SAS. That said, IF I go with 37s, I'll need a mild lift...
Consider overall household average...in my case, in the summer for commutes to work, I ride my motorcycle.. Harley Streetglide or Ducati Monster - probably around 40-45mpg. Jag XKR, about 18-20, Ford F-250 (only driven when I need the pickup), about 8-10. So if and when the Bronco shows...
Well, after all this time, the heading on the email when it came in was exciting!! But yeah its pretty much a "nothing burger", unless there's a subtle hint / advance expectation setting that my July 2020 reservation will likely be punted to a MY23 unit.
I'm a 2D, Lux, Badlands, 2.3L man, and...
OK, since someone mentioned in this thread, I’ll ask…would accessories, if constrained, hold up a build? I added the Bimini top and tube doors to order, only because they are a little less money in the order, as opposed to ordering through parts / dealer later. Surely any lagging availability...
More on this, somewhat stating the obvious:
- Car audio design by the OEM is a compromise of space for speakers, proximity to humans, and price. Given said design constraints, the audio engineers have to achieve the "sweet spot" between constraints and performance.
- From this I would conclude...
So, reading through this thread (lots of great info and varied opinions!), thinking about my current build order (2D w/Lux), here's where I'm coming out, opinions welcome please:
- B&O better / much better than base
- B&O is wired for 10 speakers including sub. So in terms of wiring, the key...
What are you guys actually seeing in this link? This has probably been answered already but mine looks like its been forgotten..shows my order when converted from WildTrak to Badlands, but does not show the most recent update I made (where I switched to 2.3L, manual, and dropped Sas). My dealer...
Yet another way to think about this....my initial order (2D) was for a 2.7L Wildtrack, then changed to BL w/Sas. As it stands now, I switched to BL 2.3, Manual, and dropped the Sas package. Here was my rationale:
- 2.3 I think will have plenty of torque for the 2D
- Love the idea of driving the...
Happy for y'all who got the letter! Because the initial Bronco "launch" and reservation system has worked so well, this one is somehow different? What are the "bookends"...let's see...on one end, you jump out of the Bronco line, step over to the Raptor line, then get into the same or similar...
Yup....and seems mixed results as to dealer's ability to tell you where you are in the queue with respect to others. If you are right about monthly instead of weekly, that would mean 12 shots on goal instead of 52 inside of a year, and now take away presumably n months until Chip shortage...
Right there with ya! 19 months and counting.
Res Date: 7/20/20
1st Order date in Feb of 21 (I think)
October / November converted to MY 22
2nd Order date in November of 21, changed to Badlands
3rd Order date in January of 22, changed from 2.7 to 2.3, man, dropped sasquatch, dropped tow
My build...
Sure would be good if Ford provided more transparency (LOL!!) on these issues. With the factory shut-downs and chip shortages until May, first I guess it depends on what chip(s), but otherwise I wonder if the assumption should be that with no build date yet, than none likely until June or later...
Wow… couple thoughts …. This dealership needs to go on the B6G blacklist from the sounds of it.
I don’t get why they went through what sounds like the delivery process only to have the rug pulled out when he went back into the showroom to close the deal. Just spitballing here…could it be that...
That’s a very thorough response, very helpful. When you say “these piggyback devices”, isnt it the case that jb4, panda, and I suppose others use a harness of sensors which would seem to address the issues you mention? In other words, if the device measures input (throttle, airflow, fuel)...
