  4. New SSM 51014 released by Ford explaining 2.7 engine dipstick confusion

I was told that the Nano 2.7 is a redesign for the Bronco and is not in the F150, is that correct? Also, I find it weird that when I question the dealer and service techs, they have idea what I am talking about.🤣
  5. New SSM 51014 released by Ford explaining 2.7 engine dipstick confusion

I called Ford directly on this issue as I am sure a lot of you did as well. The rep finally gave me a logical explanation(to me at least). They said that the oil capacity on the DOCUMENTED fill AT THE FACTORY is 7qts. However, when you drain the oil, a quart remains in the engine oil lines and...

  13. 🤬 Naughty Bad Dealerships Hall of Shame ("Surprise ADM" List)

If a dealer wants to mark up a vehicle that is on the lot, that’s fair. However, when I put a down payment with Ford to buy a vehicle, I was the one who chose the dealer and they should be grateful that I chose them over their competition to ‘handle’ the vehicle. It’s downright screwing the...

  18. Oil change via extraction method vs. drain plug

Turbo cooling-Its to cool the bearings so oil does not bake onto the bearing surfaces to get max life out of the turbos, turbos can get really hot. Turbo charged airplanes require this before shutdown and other turbine planes idle for a period before shutdown too for the same reason. As far as...
  19. Oil change via extraction method vs. drain plug

I would suggest always pulling the drain plug to remove the oil instead of sucking it out. That way you are more likely to remove dirt, shavings etc since it is all flowing out the lowest part of the pan. Also, with a turbo engine, change the oil more frequently and not pushing the oil life...
