  1. Possible to add grab handles like these?

Question… how tight do you tighten the bolts upon installation? I can’t tell if they grab metal or plastic and don’t want to strip them. They were already super loose when I removed them.
  2. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

Pretty sure I used to feel it at speed as low as 40/45, but it might have also been super windy on those days. Either way, if/when it happens, it’s pretty noticeable, so you might be one of the lucky ones.
  3. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

Now that you mention it, I was getting a ton of buffeting before, so I’ve been driving with recirculating a/c on. Ran out to the Bronco and drove it with recirculating off (around 65mph), and it’s still there, but much better. I’d say its 50-75% better. The GF said she only noticed it this...
  4. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

Same! It makes a big difference. I did add PPF to the A-pillars and to the trim above the windshield as well, just in case debri doesn't make it over the top of the Bronco. I had a BMW Z4 Coupe (yes, I know it's a totally different vehicle) that took tons of rocks to the upper windshield...
  5. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

Here you go. I brightened the wide angle shot so you can zoom in and see for yourself. One thing to note is that my deflector wasn’t completely straight on the bottom, so you’ll see the recut lines. Taking therapy to let it slide past my OCD. Hahaha.
  6. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

XPEL did it... so not sure what solutions they used, and I'm not sure what will work on your PPF. I will recommend, however, that you cut a small triangular notch into the bottom middle of your Aeroskin, something I read that a Ford installer did on an installation. That will help it drain...
  7. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

It doesn't. I asked XPEL to install it as close to the leading edge as possible, but you can still see some of it. Still, mine is better than most that I've seen... and I'm okay with it, knowing that the hood is PPF'd. Happy to take closer up photos if you'd like.
  8. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

Great questions! They do offer some protection, but don't cover the full width of the tire. I'm okay with that because I also have XPEL PPF installed on the rocker panels, and the rails do stick out just a bit more than the doors to help add some protection. My GF loves them and says they...
  9. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

Hi @hammer_head, it made all the difference in hiding the ugly pinch weldind. Hey @hammer_head, the black protection film does protect that small portion of the pinch weld from rocks and the DSS's, but my main reason for applying it was to hide the pinch weld visually. I'm not a fan of how...
  10. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

Thank you! It has Go Rhino DSS’s on it now too (separate thread and pics), and I have the Valkyrie license plate relo kit waiting for black vanity plates… should keep with the color theme. :)
  11. Installed Aeroskin II Black textured Hood Deflector

I love mine! @Last Ride Bronco @Ylekiot and @JHawk, XPEL installed it for me after a full front wrap including A-pillars and the top body pieces above the windshield. I have seen where some folks cut a small notch into the bottom center of the deflector to help it drain better. I didn't do...
  12. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

Great question! I thought about folding it under, but wanted to avoid it collecting water. I ended up affixing it on one side, pressing it into the pinch weld curve. I probably should have kept it flush, but didn't want any blue showing, so I left a tiny bit (fractions of a centimeter)...
  13. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

Four minutes isn't bad! I was surprised my GF helped from beginning to end. I tried not to traumatize her by criticizing her flashlight placement, or when I asked for certain tools (I still carry the trauma) and it paid off, hahaha. I think she might be a keeper! Regarding the mounting of...
  14. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

That's a bummer on the brackets! Sorry to hear. Here's a side pic. Happy to take a closer pic if that doesn't help.
  15. GoRhino DSS Steps / Sliders Installed on 2021 Bronco First Edition (DIY writeup tip / instructions)

After much research, I landed on the GoRhino DSS's for my FE because of the rock rail rating, and have a few words of advice / takeaways that you should consider! I like lists, so here you go, in no particular order... 1. The rails are not mounted as solidly as the OEM rock rails. The OEM...
