It doesn’t matter how you extend it, the distance from the end of the receiver to the ball is all that matters. The longer that lever arm is, the more twisting load you are putting on the frame member. That being said, there’s quite a bit of factor of safety built into those numbers.
Go for one of these, fits the specs of the Bronco pretty good and there is plenty of room for one or two people. If you get the Sport, it’ll also get places a 20 footer would be a bit tight. Sun Lite 16 BH
I agree with you on the WDH. Certainly not needed on a 3000 lb trailer if it is packed right, and even mild off road conditions will start to break things in a hurry.
If you are getting a lot of sag, you are probably going WAY over the 350 lb tongue weight capacity. Get a scale and measure it before setting out. In the USA, trailers are heavily biased to the tongue, you almost certainly will need to load heavier things to the back to get to the 8-10% range.
Not true, if you go over 12” you reduce tongue weight capacity by 25%.
That’s what I intended to do, but unfortunately, the backup camera sticks out farther than the spare.
That’s good to know, so it has the potential to sound good. Mine is terrible and seems to vary. I’ve got an appointment next week to have it looked at.
I agree, the 7MT is a dream and shifts up thru the gears incredibly smoothly - Rev Matching would make shifting down thru the gears incredibly smooth without learning, practicing, practicing, and practicing heal-toe technique or using the “hold in the clutch while you brake for the light ahead...
Try switching to the multi-view mode. It makes the front view smaller and adds in the 360 degree view. On the 12” screen, the front view is almost larger than life and with the camera much closer to the ground, it makes it seem to move faster.
I think those are for the hard top - but I could be wrong. The soft top Broncos come with a "Hard Top Prep Kit" which includes the switches and wiring for the rear wiper and other components.
Is this true about being able to run on 87 Octane? The disclaimer in the paperwork seems to indicate that "any issues related to running below 91 octane will ineligible for warantee repair". I am really almost entirely interested in the Rev Matching feature, it would be great to "juice it up"...
