Yes, I took a pic of the VIN and called the sheriff. Another group of people had actually come into contact with the guy and girl and helped them get it out of a mud hole. They creeped them out too so one of the people had snapped a photo of them. The police knew exactly who they were and said...
Ehh I would still be very cautious out there. We wheel all over the Ozarks nearly every weekend and have come across some sketchy situations. Just a few months ago we came across this stolen truck blocking the trail with a suitcase of womenās clothes nearby. And this was miles into a trail. We...
A few reasons. I was already on the fence about running heims since they can be noisy. I was thinking about going to 37s and a 3ā lift but I decided to stick with 35s and only run a 2ā lift. I think they are overkill for that setup.
Oh just a comparison of the stock Bronco tie rod to a rack from a classic mini. Pretty much the same. š
Also, a comparison to a 100 series Land Cruiser. I was hoping I could make it work but the threads at the rack are different and itās a little short. I didnāt even get to checking the taper...
I bolted these up on my bronco and decided to stick with the factory tie rods and brace for now. You will need to supply loctite as I used the small vial that came with them. Price is $700 shipped. They were a little over $900 new after tax.
I ran power and ground straight from the battery with an inline fuse. I wanted constant power to it. There is an unused grommet right there on the firewall behind it. I ran it through there.
Got my bumper on Friday, installed it Saturday, used it Sunday. š
So far I love it. Parking sensors, ACC, and front camera all still work. The winch is definitely present in the front camera view but the camera is still usable.
Going to order the Factor 55 flatlink to replace the factory Warn...
This happened to me yesterday. Dropped into a very steep hole and the bumper dragged on the way down. Luckily someone was behind me and radioed that my license plate was hanging. Broke some of the tabs so I just drilled some holes behind the plate and zip tied it to the metal frame behind it.
Itās been crickets for over 6 months. I really wish they would give us an updated eta on parts availability. They are by far my favorite looking bumpers and sliders.
I ran an Ethernet cable over to one of these pass through connectors. I like these because of the cover.

Hereās my take on a GMRS install. I wanted it hidden and to be able to remove and store the microphone easily. I found a stud by the brake pedal and fabbed up a bracket to mount the radio. I still have to fab up a nicer bracket to mount the antenna and hide the antenna wire under the cowl.
