The update isn’t coming until June. When I took mine in to the dealership the mechanic showed me the service bulletin that stated the June timeframe.
The issue is with the modem and not the Ford pass app. That’s why you see no wifi access points. Another thing you’ll notice is if you look at your manual none of the videos will work because you need internet access to view them.
I’ve had it last a few days to a few weeks. There’s no rhyme or reason to how long it lasts. I’ve also had it not work and then a few days later it magically started connecting again.
It’s a known issue. Mine has being doing it on and off since I picked it up in December. Ford is working on a OTA fix but won’t be out until June. In the mean time if you disconnect the negative battery terminal for 5-10 minutes everything resents and it will usually reconnect.
Mine went offline again so instead of disconnecting the battery I took it in to the dealership. Took the mechanic about 2 minutes to tell me it’s a known issue. He even showed me the notice from Ford saying they’re hoping to have a fix by June. So we’re all going to have to deal with this for 4...
Is there going to be some kind of update? I have to unhook my battery every few days to get my modem to work. I’ve had my bronco for 2 months now and it’s only worked about half the time.
