  1. 2.3L turbo boost issues

If you were getting no boost and it was a matter of a hose not being properly connected I can only assume it was the control air supply hose to the wastegate. Strange they would initially diagnose as needing a new turbo as the first place I would look if I was getting no boost is the wastegate.
  2. Horror story turned reality

Wildtrack Guy upset he got a Wildtrack? Maybe there's a Badlands Guy out there that's upset he got a Badlands that will swap with you.
  3. Anyone considering other vehicles at this point?

I recently cancelled our order. It was pretty clear we were not likely to get ours until 2023 so we ordered a Genesis GV70 instead that we are hoping to have in the summer (scheduled for May build). The honest truth is that the Bronco was probably too much vehicle for my wife anyway and once...
  4. Cheap hard plastic, YES PLEASE! Exposed screw heads, YES PLEASE.

Umm okay. That looks like a dash out of a 2000's year Mazda, Nissan economy car or something. Is the moral of the story that cheap cars should come with hard plastic dash panels or that soft dash panels from in mid to low tier vehicles may not look new after 10+ years?
  5. Consumer Reports Review Rates Bronco 47 points, but ahead of Wrangler

I find that opinions of the results of the CR and JD Power Surveys varies depending on how your favorite brand or vehicle score. If they score well the surveys are legit and informative for the consumer but if your favorite brand or vehicle scores poorly then they are garbage and have no...
  6. Poll: Which color would you NOT get?

I picked hot pepper red as it's a useless color. If I wanted orange I would go with a proper orange like CO and if I wanted red I would go with a real red like RR.
  7. 4 Auto / Slippery Mode... not great?

Lag is in your head. These electronics are working much faster than a human can discern any sort of delay. I have gone from a Subaru STI (full time AWD) directly to a Golf R (haldex which is FWD until slippage) and felt no discernable difference in slippery conditions.
  8. Poll who wants the new Ford Bronco Raptor?

    Because they won't make many.
  9. Poll who wants the new Ford Bronco Raptor?

I don't hate it as it's not a vehicle for me regardless. That said, the fenders look horrible. I understand why they added them with all the extra poke but this is not a good looking Bronco. I'm sure it's capable so for the people that will own it and actually use it for its intended purpose...
  10. 2022 Broncos No Longer Have Temperature Setting Displayed on Control Knobs

My gripe with this is that the interior already looks on the cheap side especially when you get into prices north of $50k. This makes it look even cheaper. I suppose you could always just order one from a 2021 as I assume it would be plug and play.
  11. Need some Positivity!

My comment is 100% accurate. Nobody here can say any number with confidence. It's safe to say it's very likely less than 5% but we don't really know. Only Ford knows and anything else is speculation. You can't do any math without knowing exactly how many engines have failed vs how many have...
  12. Need some Positivity!

Nobody really knows the math except for Ford. Could be 0.1% or 3% but regardless of what anyone estimates, it's nothing but speculation. There's certainly enough failures out there for this to be somewhat worrisome.
  13. Bronco Sport Owner says…”I thought I bought the new Bronco”

That's on the buyer. It's like those people that bought an Xbox One X thinking they were getting the new Xbox Series X. It's on the buyer to do a little research into what they are buying. A simple visit to the Ford website would have showed both versions.
  14. Since Bronco is a truck frame, does it count towards Ford's truck sales numbers?

The Bronco is classified as a light duty truck. The EPA does not have an SUV class as it's either a car, light duty truck, or heavy duty truck.
  15. Fine dust/powder from Hardtop Insulation

The headliner is made from ultra-cheap material that releases fibres on contact. Really how much extra would it have cost to use headliner material that was at least properly bonded? This is probably a result of Ford nickel & diming Webasto to the point they had to source the cheapest...
  16. Blocked by Mike Levine on Twitter for asking about early reservation holder deliveries

I really feel for the people that have waited since day one but if this is bothering you this much maybe you should consider taking your money elsewhere. Ford doesn't deserve your hard earned money. No car company really cares about individual customers. Ford probably feels for customers that...
  17. Is there a setting to completely shut down when you turn the engine off?

I wouldn't worry about it. You will get used to it over time and you needn't worry about the radio staying on and draining your battery.
  18. How's your daily driver holding up while you wait?

My wife's Subaru Outback is doing okay. It's been a pretty decent vehicle for the most part but like most Subaru's it burns oil so I just keep on top of that.
