The winch hook busted him open, he then flung into a tree... He had green oooze coming out of him when I found him and I've always been Leary of the meat when that happens... So I let the buzzards have it 😞
About a year ago I put a no name winch mount and 10k Smittybilt synthetic rope winch on the mod bumper of my 22' Basesquatch.
I was very happy with how it mounted, the winch worked great, I've only used it once but it payed for itself the one time I needed it.
Well, last week I was running...
Good Morning everyone,
Just giving a little progression update on my 22 Base. Kinda wanted to post this for anyone still waiting for their Bronco or nervous about reliability etc.
The good:
18.3 Mpg average
No mechanical breakdowns
Compliments everywhere STILL
Incredible performance both on...
Well, this morning I woke up, did a full reset on my phone. Walked out to the Bronco and as I turned it on everything connected and started working.... Even the features that were greyed out yesterday.
I'm not sure what happened here, whether the bronco had to set overnight connected to my...
Had a great day with my Bronco, did some serious playing and learning off road. Then drove into town and got a message from Ford Pass that my Bronco was now "up to date"
Everything seemed great, Android Auto was less laggy and all was right in the world.
Picked up friends to go to dinner and...
Agreed, I did this at 4895mi. The oil life said it was 50%, the owners manual says 10k intervals as well, but the oil was very dark, so I'm going to stick to 5000 intervals. Hopefully I'm done seeing metal in it...
Yeah if you floor the gas and brake and hit the start button it goes through a start cycle but doesn't start, gets oil back where it needs to go before a "dry start" condition could occur. Gotta keep both pedals down the whole cycle though.
So... My dealer couldn't get me in for my first oil change... I said ehh, big deal, went to Walmart got 7qts motorcraft 5w30 and the filter..
Everything went well, broke loose the filter first and pulled it... That's when I saw it, metal shards on the filter.
What looks tho have happened is...
4 door 2.7 Sasquatch, average 19.6mpg on premium fuel, all the time, with mixed driving. I'm in the country, not much stop and go traffic. I just tripped 3500 miles.
In comparison my 2005 f150 supercrew 5.4 on 33" gets 14-17mpg. My 99 Wrangler 6 gets 16 and my 79 f250 with built 460 and 38.5"...
Afternoon everyone, I'm running out of tasteful mods on my Basesquatch and was wondering what sort of things y'all have added that you really like?
My favorite additions are:
*Gear America Front Shackles (I get tons of compliments on them, they add just enough color)
*Window tint, 35% ceramic...
Lol That's a good idea, but I'm recently divorced, no kids, at 34 the bronco was my midlife crisis/divorce gift to myself...
It stays locked in the driveway.
I completely agree, I am glad to accept that I'm just not latching it, or forgetting it. But I am 100% certain that it was latched. I plan to just keep an eye on it and see which one of us is coming loose 😂
Had an odd occurrence the other morning, thought it was a fluke but it was repeated this afternoon.
Two nights ago while putting the soft top together and closing it my neighbor stopped by and was talking about the Bronco. He walked up as I latched the driver's side header latch, we both...
I feel like I would need to wear a cowboy hat while a western whistle plays, just as a whip cracks they alter course... All while a tumbleweed rolls across the Walmart parking lot 🤣😂
Has anyone else been asked why they have Mustang badges on their bronco?
I thought ok, one idiot is a fluke, but I have been asked by several people now, "why did you put Mustang badges on your Bronco" I also got "are those mustang wheels?, Oh just the center caps?" and also "the sasquatch badge...
Don't know if you figured it out or not but yes, the first time going back up I fought those grey latches, the manuals all said it will just click back down, it didn't for me, I had to keep wiggling both sides and finally watched where they cought and manually lifted the grey handle and the...
