I agree... no real point of it showing on the dash... except for new drivers... but I think the tach is going to be more annoying than a gear indicator...
Nope. Don't need to spend $60k on a 'commuter' car. At least I KNOW a Tesla will fit in my garage... Put a lift on a Bronco and it may just be a 'park outside' kind of vehicle.
How old is your German Shepherd? Mine is getting up there and his hips aren't what they used to be. I have nerf bars on my truck and he really struggles with those. He is ~115# and does NOT liked to be picked up/helped into the truck.
Can the MIC tops be wrapped? If say, I went with a soft top now, and later picked up a MIC hard top that shows the snakeskin. Could I just slap a wrap on it and call it a day?
My only concern would be the 3M tape adhering to the textured finish of the dash. I've been thinking of doing something similar, but mounting off the BYOD rail bolt hole.
If you don't mind having an adapter on the case of your phone, QuadLock mounts are AWESOME. I've had good luck with RAM-Mount X-Grip as well, but can be tricky on some phones to make sure the arms don't squeeze the volume or power buttons.
I've used both on my motorcycles and they have held up...
Thank you. I DID miss your post... but still don't see it when I scroll up. Can you PM me the document where this came from? Assuming it's not some internal top secret doc.
My last manual transmission vehicle with remote start was a Honda Element with physical key. To put the vehicle in 'reservation mode' (so I can remote start later), I would do the following:
1. Place vehicle in N
2. Yank on the e-brake
3. Get out of vehicle
4. Shut drivers door
5. Vehicle...
The tech may not be new, but what I'm trying to get at is if there is something I can tap into to get the gear position using OEM sensors.
I will likely install a remote start. I've had one in a few manual transmissions in the past. It's always been a song and dance when shutting down to...
I was watching a YouTube video and saw that the manual transmission shows what gear you are in on the dash. When I read about this a while back, I figured the ECU just did a quick RPM vs speed calculation to calculate the gear. HOWEVER, in the YT video, the dash was showing the correct gear at a...
Wonder if it would be easier for @Ford Motor Company to create a 'permanently attached' roof like they did with the 5th gen bronco? While not ideal, I'd take a roof I cant (easily) remove over a loud/leaky roof.
