I'm not 100% what limits the Bronco to a Max Tow of 3500 but I suspect it may be the rear crossmember the receiver is bolted to. The Braptor has higher tow limit but also has extra bracing for the receiver. Other factors such as weight for the various trims likely play a part in reducing the...
On my now gone Badlands I put aftermarket fog lights on in place of the factory fogs. They were pretty strong and amber. On the test drive they were flipping on and off and I was frantically thinking through what could be going wrong. Was the factory fog light relay tripping from over load...
No kidding. The wife is several inches shorter than me. I have to change the seat distance and mirrors. I would change the seat height but swapping drivers and getting all of that set would take too long. Also she would not be happy.
658 miles on the Raptor and whack! Right in front of me. I was instantly wondering if a bug deflector would have helped. I was 50% with one before, the Badlands had couple bounce off the windshield and the Wildtrak took one at the very top that turned into a crack over a foot long.
Tried...
Mr 2 cents, if you are thinking of replacing the fogs at any time, now is when to do it. On the truck is not hard but it's fiddly and there are a lot of bolts that you can't see. Doing it now would be breeze.
The factory fogs are weak really weak.
I'm lazy with a surgically repaired spine and when I see all of those angles I know it's going to be a litteral pain to wash. Even after going through a machine wash, there are going to be many places that will need to be cleaned by hand.
Have to see it in person before I decide.
I'm amazed that you still have an allocation. When I first saw the thread I thought they would get snapped up within the hour.
A great deal from a great dealer. Is the market really that slow?
You stick it to the glass and then affix the camera mount to it. That way you are not using mounting tape on your glass.
Think of it like window tint film except it's clear. It sticks on the glass really well but will peel off easy if you need to.
Yeah, I haven't decided if I'm going to keep using or not. If I decide to keep it I think I'll do a hardwire setup.
I'm thinking that maybe spending the money for dash cam mirror replacement might be the thing to do.
I got the 6ft extension usb c cable. It's just long enough to go from the cam across the top of the windshield and down the A pillar to the bottom of the dash. I connected the cable from the Redtiger 12v adapter to that cable.
I also tried a USB A cable from the port on the dash and it will...
Acc mode or running same result.
I didn't try the USB A port. I'll give that a try later.
I ordered a USB c extension for the 12v cable to give that a try.
First try at getting the dash cam installed.
Tested the USB on the cam by plugging it into a phone charger and it works.
In the Bronco, the dash USB port will not power up the dash cam :(
The 12v port in the console works, but the cable is too short to run it hidden around the windshield...
