Love the write up. Did CO around the same time but chose ouray and crested Butte. I wanted to attempt devils punchbowl and was feeling nervous. Decided to start in Marble and head towards crested butte. Got about a mile in and ran into a group which forced us to reverse the entire mile to the...
Oh, that's awesome. I'm in Utah and have definitely had a few times where I've opened up the engine bay and it's been super hot before even turning on the compressor. I have the factory soft top and the American Adventure Labs shelf in the rear so wonder if this would fit if I moved the...
I put mine under the hood about a year ago and haven't had any issue with it. I put some struts on the hood so it opens and stays open without the bar holding it up. The compressor gets insanely hot and wouldn't want it in the back where it could potentially touch something or melt plastic.
I live in SLC and there isn't much to do in the city right now besides some restaurants and the offroading is underwhelming all around. Central Utah and the San Rafael Swell/La Sal Mountain area has some really cool places that are worth hitting if you have the time. We are doing CO at the end...
Also on 37s with a 2ish inch lift. I was getting about 17 before and now I'm right around 13-13.5. It hurts. But, still love the 37s and the Icon suspension.
Definitely appreciate the input! I think I've been convinced that having some sort of upgraded steering rack is the next upgrade I'll have to tackle. This was super helpful. The largest tires I've had in the past are 35s on an 07 wrangler, so still trying to figure out how people have set up...
Thanks for answering the questions here. So much information on this forum that it's super hard to see anyone give reasonable answers instead of just options based off of one persons youtube video or post. I had these installed about a week ago to go with my 37s and an Icon Stage 3 suspension...
As others have said, the Soft Top has been great and haven't had any issues. Live in SLC and I have it parked outside yet I've never had water issues with the snow we get. Nothing beats the convenience of pulling the top off in nice weather - totally worth it. I still want a hard top (for...
Yeah, obviously $$ is everything. That's literally the only incentive to building any product. When the VAST majority of people have a 4dr, where is the incentive for a company to put substantial R&D resources to develop a product for a small percentage of people? Why is this a surprise to anyone?
After 4 months, my APIM was replaced on Monday! I called last Monday to get an update from the dealership and was told there was no shipping update and was still on backorder. I was frustrated and hit up Ford on Twitter. Got a response and DM'd them my info and someone from Ford called my last...
yeah it’s totally drivable. Mine went out end of May and have been daily driving it. It works fine just super annoying. No way I was leaving it for months at a dealership.
Super super disappointed with this. My APIM went about over 2 months ago and the dealership put in an order at the start of June. 9 weeks later and still no news and only had my vehicle for a few months. Really soured my experience with Ford that they are still pushing out new vehicles but doing...
This. Thank you. The soft top is great for a soft top. I'd take a window sag any day. I've been living with a Best Top soft top on my Wrangler and absolutely HATE that I can't lift up the rear. Sure, it looks amazing but practically speaking, it drives me crazy. The soft top is all about...
