Seems like there should be an easier way. For those of us that routinely travel from the MPH world of the USA to the KPH world of Canada. (An old style speedometer with both MPH and KPH would be better than the “advanced” digital display).
I was scared witless - first year of the model, built right before the Christmas shutdown, then it sat for 4 months in a field waiting for chips.
After all the MIC top issues and delays, I thought it’d be in and out of the shop (or at least have leaks everywhere, but so far it’s been great...
Heh heh - "...past2 months". Try since they started building the Broncos. Ford's been sowing chaos since the very beginning. I thought that once the COVID/MIC top/Supply chain/Chip fiascos were resolved, they'd get back into a predictable rhythm, but NOPE! Sounds like its SOP now.
This is my biggest fear. After hitting the ”luck” jackpot and getting my 2021 Bronco (even with all its constraints), I don’t think I could jump back into the waiting pool to do it all over again. It took a year and a half the first time, but without some sort of guarantee as to when you’d get...
So I’ve had my (Mid pacakage) Bronco about 2 months now and put about 1500 miles on it (highway and in town). I’ve noticed all of the driver assist features working: lane keeping, attention, etc — except for the AEB. I’ve never had it trigger, and as my wife tells me, I’m a ”close driver”.
Ive...
I think a lot of it has to do with the wheel width - +20 offset yielding different looks for s 9” wheel vs a 8.5” wheel. (I didn’t go and research the ones you’d called out up above).
For my OBX, I thought a little poke would be OK, so went with a Fuel 18” x 9” wide wheel with +20 offset. That...
Fuel Tactic 18x9”, +20 offset. Falken Wildpeaks 285/65R18.
A bit more poke than I expected - probably 2”. A +35 offset would’ve probably been perfect. If it gets to me, I’ll upgrade to the SAS fenders.
Well, seems like I beat @PeneBear by just a little bit! My windshield got replaced, so I went over last night, filled out the paperwork, and brought it home! I’ll have to go back Tuesday to have the new wheels/tires put on, but at least the Bronco is finally in my garage and not a dirt field...
Hee Hee hee Haw HAW (rolling on floor laughing)..
Yes, many of us with the last 2021s were shipped off to Ice Mountain immediately after exiting the line (either due to chips, or other options). Where they sat. And sat. And some continue to sit.
There is light at the end of the tunnel...
I’m told that mine is actually at the dealer - but that the windshield was broken during transport. Waiting to get more info about when it might be ready to pick up.
@PeneBear, @TXWALKER, @Chubby, @Rheino45, @Dennydizzla, @Photorunner, @jwalke22, and @DanielP - we are the last remaining Bronco-less 12/6ers (Of those on the tracking list anyway).
Have any of you heard anything about your Broncos? I’ve asked my dealer several times and all I get is a “…I’ll...
Today I cleaned out my old car in preparation for trading it in. That’s probably like offending the Gods, so I’m sure I won’t get my Bronco for another 2 months now.
Last time I tempted fate, I bought a new set of wheels and accessories and that cost me a 4 month detour to Ice mountain.
My EDD slipped to 4/28 - 5/4 too (was the prior week). When I chatted with Ford they said it had been shipped, but was awaiting pickup by BNSF at one of their lots (so didn’t have a railcar number). They couldn’t tell me where it was waiting either, so…..
I think it’s becoming obvious Ford is just blowing smoke. My “stuck in production” build Suddenly got built (yea!!) just before March 31st, annnnnd has been sitting there for almost 2 weeks now With no shipment.
I don’t think they’re actually completing them. I think a lot are still waiting on...
Mine still shows Built, but not shipped on the trackers. Oddly, though, I got an email today from my dealer saying it was on the way, and that I should buy some of their accessories for when it arrives.
So who knows. Maybe Ford just doesn’t update the trackers anymore. Or maybe my dealer is...
Yep, seems like they scrambled to get the 2021s “done” by the end of March, then went back to business as usual.
(I’m also built, but waiting shipping…)
