This is what dealers are now doing. They may not charge over MSRP, but they add items no one wants like key replacement insurance, or Nitrogen filled tires, or you get it. If you are wiling to wait, place an order online and then when it arrives it 'should' be what you ordered without the add...
The issue is, if there is ever a rollover or other event that results in property damage, injury or loss of life, the owner would be liable. Ford failed to inform dealerships so they could inform buyers, and that just sucks. And yes, I plan to be at the dealership today to have a discussion...

Yeah, I understand engineering safety factors, but if Ford can't certify the rack with the Badlands, I am not going to stick my neck out and ignore them. I am selling my bronco on Monday. Best of luck to you.
Well, I decided to sell my 2021 four door Badlands with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine back to my dealership. While my Bronco checked most of the boxes for what I wanted, it failed because I cannot install a roof rack under FoMoCo guidelines for load capacity, etc.,. Why exactly FoMoCo would not...
This is what I have learned. “Quite simply by the time you add 2.7 the vehicle just gets too heavy. Other posters are correct, this is 100% a gross vehicle weight/center of gravity issue. With the bash plates, steel bumpers, 35" spare tire, rock rails, 2.7 engine, etc. . . . adding payload...
I get it now. Since I had been asking my sale rep at the dealership since December what the issue was with no response, I decided to ask the parts dept rep. He had to check with an expert and responded with the capacity issue. I plan to take my Bronco back to the dealership on Monday for a buy...
Legal Liability? I think FoMoCo legal department is way too involved with our Broncos. If it wasn't for them, the 2.7L RUD issues would have been dealt with months ago.
This is what the website for ordering the rack says about the compatibility:
4 door 2.7 ecoboost badlands bronco.
Part No

Not compatible with Badlands 4-door with 2.7L engine...
When I both made my reservation for my four door Badlands with a roof rack, the order form canceled it with I selected the 2.7l EcoBoost engine. I figured it was a software glitch. When I ordered my Badlands with the 2.7l engine, it still would not permit the roof rack. It did the same to me...
Odds are that you won't have to worry about a BEV fire in your garage as BEV's suffer fires at a lower rate than Hybrids and PHEV's according to Kelly Blue Book.

If you take it out of Baja mode you should see an improvement,
Yeah, I was thinking yours was out of the danger zone too as mine has a build date of 21319 and I received mine two weeks after it was built in December 2021. My money is on a fuel pump issue, which should get you back on...
My dealership parts dept found out yesterday that the roof rack is not available for the BL 2.7L due to capacity issues. I haven't a clue why that would be. I am probably going to sell mine because I need a roof rack for my kayaks.
Since COVID-19 has changed the way we do things, and how companies are affected by production delays due to shortages of upstream parts, (failures to produce in spec parts), I have been wondering about my Bronco, and how long I will want to hang on to it. It would be good to know how other...
