I just spent 2 days with a group of Raptors in Utah and used Baja more the entire time. Baja mode worked really well in running with the group, the Bronco never felt slow. A few of Raptor people were really impressed with it. I flogged it hard for 300 miles.
Iād say the only thing it needed...
With 12.50 x 17" Ridge Grapplers and KMC Roswell's I gained about 15 pounds per corner. The Nitro's are about 1/2" taller, although they are 35's.
So far I have not sustained a noticeable MPG hit. But I've haven't driven it much and nothing on the freeway yet. In LA I'm at around 13 mpg...
I was going to ask the same thing.. I have a set of S1's sitting around and I'd like to mount them this way, with your wiring. There's no way to buy everything but the lights?
For what it's worth, I just travels 600 miles in very heavy rain and then another 50-60 in a blizzard in my FE (so hardtop obviously). No leaks, no snow inside. The top performed as expected.
Plenty of wind noise in the strong headwind, but no leaks of any kind.
Cruise set to 80 from LA to Mammoth round trip 16.3. That includes driving around Mammoth for 3 days, entirely in a blizzard. The trip up we had a tail wind, the trip back a huge headwind. 3 people plus gear in the vehicle. I think it would be pretty easy to get 17+ with better conditions.
A Model 3 does not weigh 2500 pounds, which is what a 3000 pound delta would indicate. It's closer to the 4000 pound range, depending on how it's optioned. I have a Model S Plaid the weighs 4800 pounds. I have verified this by actually weighing it, and also my FE 4-door Bronco on scales...
Hi All,
I've posted a couple times here, but not much so far. I got my FE back on 10/9 and only have about 900 miles on it so far. The first month I only put about 60 miles on it since I was debating keeping or selling it. I got it for MSRP so I could do well with it.
I decided to keep it...
