  1. How do I get roof mounted solar panel wiring into my truck/engine bay?

Thatā€™s a solid idea! Iā€™m definitely only going half rack bc we take the front/middle sections off most of the summer. So while the lightbar hole is a great rec, it wonā€™t work for me. I like this option best but will keep the others in mind. Thanks yall!
  2. How do I get roof mounted solar panel wiring into my truck/engine bay?

Looking for some ideas. I'm trying to organize a build that would allow me to run a solar panel on a rack that then would input into a dual battery system or my portable power station. Depending on various factors I might try to rig it up to run to our Bluetti 180 power station initially and...
  3. 5lbs propane mount

Boy that is loaded to the hilt! šŸ˜… Yep, the JetBoil Gensys is too high at $300. They dropped the price to $200 a few weeks back and we pounced.
  4. 5lbs propane mount

Ah I see now. Interesting design on the tailgate table. Looks like you might be limited on what you can hang from the top since it folds up? I like that grill. We just put our Everest 2X up for sale. Itā€™s about the same size. But this last year was sort of our transition from traditional...
  5. Can anyone point me in the direction of some low-profile ditch lights?

I should have some video from Allegheny Discovery Route. I didnā€™t run the cameras a ton after dark but Iā€™ll see if I can find something.

Can you share some more pics of your fridge setup and the grill folded up?

Would buy that in a heartbeat.
  9. Build your Bronco now to compare costs

My OBX loadout is about $13k higher today. Probably would not have pulled the trigger at $66k

  12. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

if you did the fluids and the fillings youā€™d have had yourself a deal! šŸ˜‚
  13. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

it was outrageous. I would have done it in my garage, but unfortunately, I work out of state and we were leaving for this trip from my work condo rather than our house. So no garage prior to our overland. To be fair, I just had 8 fillings done for $3,700ā€¦ So the fluid change was actually quite...
  14. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Yeah, definitely wonā€™t do it again before 75,000 miles plus. Iā€™m like you 5-6 off-road/camping trips a year. And weā€™re definitely pretty hard on the truck when weā€™re out. But Iā€™m thinking this is probably affecting the rock crawling crowd out west more than folks like myself.
  15. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Just wanted to chime in here. This thread scared the S out of me. Iā€™m at 23,xxx miles and we were headed out on a 4 day overland last week. So I had tranny and both diffs flushed and filled before we left and they found no metal shavings and all was well. Peace of mind + an oil change cost me a...
  16. Parody Bronco Joke Dad's Edition

I think this truck looks like a shark.
  17. "DO NOT USE 93 OCTANE" ?

Dumbest thing I ever heard. You greatly increase your risk of getting knock by using lower octane fuel in a turbo charged vehicle. I donā€™t think the service guys are any better than the sales guys. Took my truck in on Monday and asked them to reprogram my vehicle for 35 inch tires and to...
  18. New Brakes, when? What?

They also use very soft rotors forcing you to replace them as well when you do your pads. Iā€™m assuming thatā€™s not the case on our trucks.
  19. New Brakes, when? What?

PowerBrake makes a 4x4 specific (whatever that means) big brake kit for the 2.3. They told me it will work on the 2.7 but sometimes it triggers a CEL for some reason. But itā€™s $2,600 for just the front calipers, rotors, pads, and steel lines. So youā€™d still be out for rear rotors and pads. Iā€™m...
