Itās a known issue with the manuals. Ford actually has a service bulletin out on it. When itās really cold outside you can hear the scraping sound at idle. The noise stops when the truck warms up.
Look on you tube. Several people have posted on it . If yours is a ā23 model they may have...
I understand your frustration. The parts to fix my Chinese made manual transmission are back ordered with no ETA. At just four thousand miles I have two recalls and a bad transmission. Love the truck so far but the quality just isnāt there.
Thereās a TSB about this from Ford. The 5th and 6 th hear synchro gears are bad. My dealer ordered the parts to fix mine which of course are back ordered until who knows when. I told the service manager itās under warranty so Iāll drive it till it goes and then Ford can tow it in.
It seems...
My parts were ordered on Monday
Dealer told me they were back ordered until late February or early March
Of course they say itās ok to drive because lemon law in NC kicks in if itās out of service 20 business days in a 12 month period.
Good luck to you ā¦fingers crossed they figure this out
Contacted the dealer today about setting up the repair and was told most parts are on back order until late February/early March timeframe. Guess Iāll drive till it goes and tow it in.
if they donāt start building ā23 models till November its gonna be another cluster next year. 2023 models should start in July. Here we go again, right ?
Hereās a solution:
Stop relying on a six thousand mile long supply chain and third world child labor to build critical components for your vehicles. Corporate Americaās race to the bottom caused all of this and the sad thing is they wonāt change a thing.
In 1960, the largest private employer...
How did you paint the top?
Iāve had some shops in my area tell me they wonāt paint the top because they are afraid the paint wonāt adhere properly to the molded plastic. I have a race red 2door and the white top would look great but Iām apprehensive about the plastic. Yours turned out great.
I work on the railroad and TOTALLY AGREE with you. The Class 1 railroads (UP, NS, CSX, BNSF) all have implemented āPrecision Scheduled Railroadingāor PSR, in which they laid off thousands of employees and then run super long trains with less people. This has led to a shortage of rested crews...
The train is sitting for days because the railroads donāt have enough employees to move the trains. Conductors and engineers fall under hours of service like truck drivers do. Sadly the class 1 railroads have furloughed tons of people and there is simply a shortage of rested crews to haul...
I work for the railroad and I can tell you first hand that is not the case. The big carriers implemented āprecision scheduled railroadingā in which they proceeded to lay off two thirds of their employees. They tried to call back but people have moved on with skilled trade jobs being plentiful...
Mine shipped two weeks ago,ā¦..still have no info on where it is or when Iāll get it. And youāre right rates are going up all the time.
The railroads share some of this. They furloughed half their crews in their implementation of āprecision scheduled railroadingā. They canāt get enough...
Always remember the best sales person at the dealership is NOT your sales guy. It is the Finance manager. Their salary is directly ties to how much junk they can sell youā¦..warranties, scotch guard, VIN etching, nitrogenā¦ā¦that kind of stuff. Donāt feel bad they tried to get my wife with an 8...
Ford wouldnāt be
Ford would not be in this position if they had not made the decision to rely on a seven thousand mile long supply chain to save a buck by using third world country cheap labor for critical components. Ford is estimated to lose one million units of production this year due to...
