Yeah, I think that chart I looked up early on was either old or bogus. It only makes sense that the "cross country" (as opposed to rock climber) trim would have that mode.
And here in the flat Midwest, probably the only one besides snow that I might get use out of.
She's here! First impression (while still in the dealer garage): the Wildtrak + HOSS 3.0 is LARGE. I'd seen various trims in person before but it still struck me how TALL this rig is. I'll need a stepstool to even seen the top.
Purchase process was relatively painless. Nothing bad to say...
Just got the "Continue your purchase at your Ford dealer" email. Did not receive: "Shipped" email or baby photo. Interesting also is that the Ford tracking site flipped over to "final prep" status while the ordertrack.app still says "Awaiting Shipment". I thought they pulled data from the...
Well...my sales guy called and woke me up about a half hour ago (I sleep late)...he says it's in! I'll go see it tomorrow.
Zero change in online status, so this may be another instance of severe tracking fail.
I talked to my dealer today and the sales manager said he talked to Ford today as well. He was pretty confident that there is an actual car transporter (and driver) shortage and not any other business going on with the delay. Something about Ford having a contract with the trucking companies...
There should have been a date in your "Built" email, as well as on the order status page (not the tracking page) like in jehines3's screenshot above.
You have to access the page on a non-mobile device for some reason to see it (nice work Ford).
Interesting...mine didn't change over. Still reads "Estimated Delivery 10/1/2022 - 10/7/2022".
Like others have said, it's not the wait, it's the ambiguity. Keep people in the dark and they're going to start coming up with their own explanations for things. Unfortunately, at this point each...
From "In Production" purgatory to "Awaiting Shipment" Limbo...now entering week #2. Who else is here with me?
Ford chat used an interesting phrase today, saying the Oct 2-7 ETA was for the "shipping window to begin", not for the actual shipment to occur. Nevermind that previous chats said the...
Where are you finding your updated ETAs? The only one I've seen so far was on my Built email. None of the trackers provide them as far as I've seen.
I'm just about a week into "Awaiting Shipment," with my ETA range ending tomorrow.
We're getting close to that here (5.5 days as of this hour). Talked to my dealer today and he says there's a "transporter shortage". That's a new one!
Hey Ford, how about you do factory pickup like some of the European makes do? I hear Detroit is lovely this time of year...
It's a computed average of all of the other submitted VINs previously in that status. In my case it was about four days long. Now that we should be in "awaiting shipment" status, it says 6 days + 9 hours. Let's see if Ford can bring that average down.
Yep, same deal here this morning, and across this thread, it seems.
So I think my Bronco was built, err, assembled on the 13th, or possibly well before that date, and immediately put on Chip Hold. The Ford chat rep's latest data was from the 13th. The chips (or whatever) were allocated and...
