Are you tapped into wire harness? Or aux switch? Or both? Wondering if you have a bad +dc connection. I’d run a jumper from battery to the light harness.

Did similar a very similar swap on my ‘21 BL MT. Remove crash bars. Did quite a few twisty/bendy trails and no rubbing issued. Speedo and odo will be about 3% off.

I have a ‘21 BL with same issue. It doesn’t bother me too often, until it does! Tried the hood pads but not enough adjustment. May try to adjust driver side down to even things out. Did you get a better solution?

3rd brake light barely touches, the two rubber bumpers near the bottom seem fine as well.

I ran 315/70 (need a 1” wheel spacer to clear extra width) without any rubbing even off-road. personally I’d have no concerns doing what you propose.

I went turndown 2.3, mostly for clearance and it tucks up nicely. Haven’t been able to side by side with dual tips, but the cold-start, acceleration, and no drone makes me smile every time. No regrets. And I freed up a ton of space for ARB tank where old, giant muffler used to hang.
