  1. About ready to give up and lemon law my bronco

When we had to lemon law our Toyota Sienna several years ago, we found there is negotiating room. We liked our Sienna other than the issues we had and it was perfect for our family. They offered to buy back or replace. I held firm on replacing with a van that was at or above the same level...
  2. POLL: Is your soft top fraying? My experience on what should be a warranty issue, BEWARE the Soft Top...

Mine frayed like that and I had it replaced under warranty, because it is a design flaw. One side folded fine, the other didn’t and the top rubs on the plastic “finger guard” and frays. I’d be concerned that even if you “train” the top it would blow enough when flipped back that it would tear...
  3. Regrets

Sometimes I wish I had bought the two door and/or added Sasquatch. However, I felt like the price point I paid was about the limit I could pay without negotiating at home. Although I’ve had issues with the top and window switches the dealer has fixed both under warranty
  4. Something doesn't seem right......

Yep, I ripped one off in Vegas. Too used to older cars that require you to pull with some force to set the parking brake. They had to send the Bronco back to the shop for the day. Ooops
  5. 1.5 Days with my Code Orange 2023 Bronco Raptor - First Impressions

Ah, ok. Yes that would be nice, especially with how wide the Raptors are
  6. 1.5 Days with my Code Orange 2023 Bronco Raptor - First Impressions

It looks like you do have powered mirrors. I zoomed in and can see the controls on the console. They are in a weird spot because the doors come off - when sitting in the drivers seat they are to the right and kind of behind the window controls. It took me a while to find them too.
  7. Hesitant buying Bronco with soft top

I had wear issues and the inside liner came loose, but Ford stepped up and replaced the canvas under warranty. Other than those minor issues that were addressed, I love being able to flip the top back in a few seconds to enjoy the nice weather. I rarely see local hard tops enjoying the same.
  8. Sound System Upgrade

I ended up having someone install it for me. It was less than $100 because I already had the sub. I had broken a clip off a kick panel when removing it to replace those speakers so decided I didn’t want to risk it to run the power and speaker cable all the way up. I figured I’d like the pro do...
  9. Powered Subwoofer: So many questions!

You will get some rattle if you attach it to the driver side plastic without reinforcement and you turn the bass up higher. I rarely get the rattle because I’m not cranking the bass up that high in most cases. However, I was just thinking today that I may open up the trim and see if I can put...
  10. Seat belt and soft top concerns after 1st trip to Utah

You drill the rivets out. Then they come off. I saved mine in case I need them later.
  11. Seat belt and soft top concerns after 1st trip to Utah

I’m pretty sure the tear is being caused when you flip the top back to the first position there is a plastic protective plate that is meant to keep your fingers for getting pinched (look for a yellow warning sign). Unfortunately the top doesn’t fold back correctly and hits that plastic and cuts...
  12. Soft top tearing

Yes. I did end up removing those plastic finger protectors from the frame as I could tell they might still act like plastic knives when I folded the top back.
  13. Soft top tearing

Not the frame, but all the cloth minus the windows.
  14. Soft top tearing

Mine was replaced under warranty a few weeks ago. The new top still hit the plastic part, so I had the dealer take those off. Just there to protect your fingers and, apparently, to tear your top when folded back.
  15. Soft top separating / splitting / tearing issue!?! (Update. It got even worse!!)

Two weeks ago my dealer replaced the old top with a new one under warranty. The plastic pieces that had caused the tear on the outer edge were still rubbing on the new top so the dealer drilled out the rivets and removed those parts. They appear to only be to protect finger from pinching but...
  16. Soft top separating / splitting / tearing issue!?! (Update. It got even worse!!)

I just got back from getting a new top under warranty from Ford. I had both the second layer coming apart and a small tear on the passenger edge of the top where the top hits a plastic "finger gaurd" when the top is flipped back to the first position. The new top had the same issue with the...
  17. Soft top tearing

I need to call my dealer and see the status on the replacement top. Ford approved a new top under warranty but the dealer told me it was on back order “for at least a month.” I’ve been on vacation most of the summer so haven’t made the time to connect with the dealer.

  19. Very rough idle when the AC is on? (video in post)

Me too! I’ll let you know if anything changes. It seems like it happens when it’s above 80.
  20. Very rough idle when the AC is on? (video in post)

I have the 2.7 and mine does the same thing on hot days. I’ve noticed there are some flaps in the front that open up and the cooling fan seems to be on overdrive. I’ve not tried it with or without AC go see if it changes. I’m assuming it is simply the cooling system ramping up to keep the engine...
