@Turn Offroad, I'm patiently waiting for more details. I can say I would happily pay in the neighborhood of ~$7k for an option with these features:
A power sliding ragtop would be great, but even a manual one like this: (https://www.sunroofsource.com/) would be a great option.
Integrated rack...
Thanks. I'm still running them. They've been dragged through everything. No issues and no rock chips on the doors. At the time there were zero aftermarket options.
It started working again a few weeks later… I’m sure there’s corrosion and who knows how long it’ll last. I haven’t had any issues since though.
@Bestop_Team used to have several color options for their twill tops. No more. When I ordered the top for my Jeep, I had several color options, the top folded all the way back and could be detached/removed in seconds. I feel the current design for the Bronco really misses the mark. I'm really...
Had the same issue and it won't clean off. It's worn into the screen. I put on a Spigen tempered glass protector and it hides those wear marks completely. The glass also feels a lot nicer than the plastic.
Looks like we have very similar specs. Ford did spend a fair amount of effort designing the interior to handle the elements to an extent. I didn't submerge the visors... We'll see what Ford says. I feel it's a valid issue and I'm sure I won't be the only one.
The visor was up and I suspect the cavity is open from the mirror to the HomeLink, so water pooled in the mirror and ran into the HomeLink module. They did a good job of engineering the rest of the interior for this situation. Most of the switches are rubberized, any place in the console that...
I will be, but I think there's a good chance this will just keep happening. I was going to ask to hold onto the old visor to see how I can remove the HomeLink module and look at options to better protect it. There's a cavity in the foam for the mirror and HomeLink, that's what gets filled with...
I'm assuming no one is worried about water? The rear quarter locations seem the safest aside from inside the dash. I run topless often and have gotten caught in the rain a few times. Under the seats would definitely not be a good option.
I got caught in the rain with the roof off and noticed that the visors with the vanity mirrors basically fill with water and I'm pretty sure the HomeLink module got soaked and is toast now (no led, doesn't work). The vanity lights work fine though. I haven't seen any similar posts, but has...
I just did mine and you have to be VERY careful with the "pad" you are soldering the connector to. It's very, very thin and comes off the glass easily. Also let the glass cool slowly afterwards. There is also conductive epoxy for this sort of thing on Amazon that may be a good option.
I'm using one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087TK58P8 on my pressure washer. It helps, but doesn't eliminate them. I also have PPF/Ceramic Coating. The biggest difference I've had is washing OUT of the sun so there's more time for the water to sheet off. Leaf blower helps too...
Not that many. You'll have celebrity status, so get used to lots of attention. There are Jeeps everywhere and the off-road community is very friendly down here.
I'm in Summerville. Not a lot of "official" trails in the immediate area, but plenty of fun, muddy spots all over. There are some trails in Francis Marion National Forest. The Low Country Wranglers group on Facebook is worth joining (open to all 4x4's). Good group and they've been very...
