Weren't these beta tester units? This makes zero sense because they said they went through "multiple revisions" in that last b.s. video (where they lied about timelines) and this was after these "clients" had the tops given to them. This is complete misinformation. Nothing new...
Let us know if you get any updates! I’m curious if they will update today or when the last time they actually told customers anything (even if it was outdated/static information).
Yeah, but they've been operating this way the entire time. Posting teasers and install videos while sprinkling in information about rubber, labor shortages, etc., only to turn around and reneg on timelines that were promised ,time and time again. It's a tired joke at this point. I was one of...
**Update**
Burning smell has dissipated a little, but still lingers after driving. I also noticed oil leaking from what looks to be the transfer case. Dropped it off at the dealer today, so hopefully will get some update soon. Based on what I've seen on the forums, in some cases people ended up...
I'd want to know everything at this point. It's almost worth a plane ticket to come to the shop with a list of questions and push back on them until truthful, detailed answers are given.
1. Where is this plant? Who is your manufacturer? Have you used them in the past?
2. Why were the timelines...
That must be a very "advanced", hyper-accurate order tracker if they can track the "in-production" status, because isn't it still technically in production when you're having to put the rubber and headliner on yourself?!
Yeah, and all it takes is five minutes of reading the comments about Glassworks to see that the current owner of the rebranded company was doing the exact same things that we all experienced while he was working there. Terrible customer service, poor communication, falsehoods, and broken promises.
Thank you! Yeah I got it sorted after the second adjustment. Hope you're enjoying your top. It's still crazy to me that the other company hasn't shipped any yet. 100% happy with my switch.
I appreciate the response, @flip
It seems to be driving ok now, but I did notice a slight lingering smell yesterday after a 20 minute drive on a highway. It wasn't as intense of a smell as the first time. If I had to guess, I slipped the clutch when moving from 4th to 6th gear after hitting...
Yeah, it was definitely weird. When learning to drive a manual, I grinded gears here and there when I didn't put the clutch in all the way to change gears. This occurrence had no grinding, just a high rpms when it looked like it was in 6th gear (given the rpm spike, it wasn't.) That's happened...
Definitely not smoked. I've driven it since and there's no smell or mishifting. Just trying to figure out if it's something to do with the Ford Performance module or if it was just a one-off occurrence with the shifter not fully engaging.
