  1. Towing hitch Help!!

Two Things: 1: Support the trailer to take weight off the tongue jack, unbolt it, and turn it 180 and reinstall. At least that will get the handle on the other side. 2: Some folks use an extender to get the ball out from under the tire. I deal with the same problem. My trailer is very...
  2. DIY BRAKE LIGHT in spare tire lug nut holes

I e been looking for a light other than a ring and those horribly expensive third wheel lights and this is great. Did you use the marker lights they sell at northern tool? https://www.northerntool.com/products/blazer-led-3-4in-round-clearance-and-side-marker-red-39207
  3. Anyone drive in ECO mode on trips?

  4. Anyone drive in ECO mode on trips?

In my particular case (driving 75 to 80 for long distances) the rpms settle a lot lower at cruise when in eco, so it's definitely in a higher gear. About 1800 in eco and around 2400 in normal, higher in sport.
  5. Anyone drive in ECO mode on trips?

I use eco almost exclusively on my 4dr Black Diamond 2.3 AT, non sas. It seems to work tell for me as I drive back and forth between Richmond and Norfolk VA frequently, about a 90 mile journey. My lifetime mpg is at 20.9 over 11k mi. I am working toward 21. For reference I drive this like an...
  6. Anyone mount the DV8 license plate bracket to a Metal Capable bumper?

Did you end up going with this? I am interested in the same. I have no qualms about drilling the capable bumper for a solid install. I had another style the pinches onto the inner lip that fell off about 4 months in, it was after I went through a deep puddle that could have loosened it but I...
  7. FIXED!! Windows catching on weatherstripping when opening -- It's not what you think.

I was having problems with my driver side not moving when the door opened. It seemed intermittent and I couldn't get the relearn process to take. Turns out, the lower part of the wiring harness for the door wasn't fully seatedwhich proba ly has the pin or pins for the door position sensor...
  8. Finally found a phone mount that checks the boxes... Sorta

Correct. I run it behind the dash and it pops out right down by the tray in the console. I got a little 90 deg usb c male to female so you can really even see thats its plugged in. In the future i may power it by tapping power from elsewhere and making it neat behind the glovebox, but i dont...
  9. Anyone getting sick of their color choice???

Car colors really stalled out for a while, which is why I chose what I chose, bc it was more unique. I found myself in parking lots with nothing but white, grey, black, blue and red cars. I was considered cactus and carbonized but it was all a lot of the same. Played out to me. I also think...
  10. $475 Hooke Road Discovery Roof Rack -- Review

I like it. Gonna sell the factory rack in favor of this. You think they would produce it without the cutout logo on the back? It might just be me but I'm generally against big, wordy logos on an otherwise clean/sleek product.
  11. Finally found a phone mount that checks the boxes... Sorta

While this is available in some trims, I actually like that there are a lot of places in the dash for running wires. Slot above the touch screen Lots of hidden holes on the underside of the lower dash seam Around climate controls You can probably sneak a small gauge wire in next to a grab...

  13. Finally found a phone mount that checks the boxes... Sorta

I really like this. My dilemma is more about my ocd. I didn't want to do anything with adhesive and I wanted wireless charging so I could hide wires. I'm a sucker for wire management.
  14. Finally found a phone mount that checks the boxes... Sorta

Just have to be willing to cut something you just bought in half🤣

  17. Finally found a phone mount that checks the boxes... Sorta

So I have been searching for the right phone mount that suits my use for a few months. This is my first car with CarPlay - it's great, but that changed my needs from a mount since I hardly need the phone while driving, but want it to be handy for maps and when I get out of the vehicle. I...
  18. Ford Bronco Slideout Tailgate finally available as an accessory!

I was lucky and was able to get this on my build. It was an even swap for the Modular bumper, i think $600 ish. It’s monstrously sturdy and levels the cargo area when stats are down.
  19. Transferring standard bumper fog lights to aftermarket bumper

Seems like some of.our friends on the 3d printing threads might be able to help out here?
