Great news update time! Bronco is fixed and back in my possession :clap: What started the fire? A bad solenoid. Starter and starter motor had to be replaced. Rollercoaster of a few weeks. Glad it's all been sorted, and repaired in time for the nice weather.

She’ll be back at my local ford repair shop tomorrow, so will find out soon for sure. Will try to take more pictures once available. For now here’s another more recent visit when I swapped the wheels/tires.

What's the hose then I wonder? It's in the picture he sent? Not the radiator or intercooler itself but the hose end that connects with the engine is what caught fire. You can see where the fire melted the rubber off the hose itself.

No alternator shield upgrade to my knowledge. Was there a recall I’m not aware of? I’ve had all the open recalls addressed. If no, then I did not upgrade on my own.

Yes, I can tell you it wasn’t that part that was on fire. That appears to be on top of the engine. The fire was on the driver side on the side of the engine. If you had a schematic of the side I’m fairly sure I could point out what part was on fire.
