The new forward bolts with T40 torx inset in the head were received for testing and work very well with the Bronco. The T40 torx inset in them makes removal of the bolts really easy (if needed), and I believe many (most? all?) Broncos include a T40 wrench in the factory tool kit, which is...
There is a significant amount of space in that area for the forward/top sports bar bolts. I tested them for Grant and they worked great. Grant posted a pic of the space (finger in pic for spacial reference) in post 167 above.
Most important thing: duct tape
Plus, I'd add some items for electrical repair: box knife; wire cutter/stripper, 10' of 18 gauge wire, crimp connectors, and mix of spare fuses.
Needle-nose pliers, and also small adjustable/crescent wrench can be good when don't have that odd socket size or...
From watching the install video, the higher third brake light is the result of installing a bracket that extended the height of the OEM third brake light bracket. It's at the 4:00 min mark in the youtube video. It does not look like that extension piece is required and I'd think can be omitted...
I did not get them for the rear. I have SAS so not sure about fit on non-SAS. Their web page for the flaps does not mention non-SAS but does say other models coming soon. You might reach out to them and ask about non-SAS fitment. I found the best way to get a hold of them was to call them...
I think you could make the verticals higher to clear top of the doors and then put hardtop resting on the top of it all. Might need a little bracing across the top to give the whole thing some rigidity to avoid lateral sway.
Candidly, for a savings of roughly $60-65, the Ford molded plastic ones where you have to manufacture your own bracket and drill the flap into your flare, is not worth it. The RekGens met my expectations on a very clean fit and so much more. Such a clean and easy fit for just $90. No...
Given it's a 2-door and that's the only way they come from the factory, I suspect the market is extremely narrow (almost non-existent) and thus, the market value is nowhere near what one could get if it was for a 4-door. No demand. My guess is you'll have a tough time selling it.
The roof...
Got my RekGen front flaps (standard) and installed them. Really like them, even though I'm not a fan of mud flaps (but no choice). They are not stupid long; a solid length from a visual standpoint, which helps them blend in a little better. Will have to see how they perform. They fit nicely...
Maybe, perhaps, Ford figured out it was a vehicle involved in an assembly line injury accident and some worker's body appendage is somewhere inside the Bronco? Kind of hard to have the dealership's service department fix that issue.
There was an article in the last few weeks discussing that Ford was working with dealers to figure out which orders had been abandoned and which were ones customers intended to move forward with. It is part of Ford's efforts to clear the backlog. Sounds like this could be part of that efffort.
Wow. I think that's the first '22 year 2.7 engine I've seen being replaced. What was the failure? Have you passed this info along to @Lucchese for the 2.7 blown engine thread stats https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/2-7l-blown-engine-fail-list-47-so-far-may-11-update.31951/
