  1. Anyone drive in ECO mode on trips?

I’ve used it on a few long trips (NY to VT, and NY to and from NC) with my two door. I had my roof platform and Thule roof box on for all of them so not true MPG but there was a ~2 MPG difference between eco and regular mode.
  2. 2 door Trektop installed & ready for summer

I re-installed my 2 dr Trektop a few weekends ago and the good news is the second time around is much easier. Took me around an hour 15 mins (not counting removing the hardtop). Had some help from my son for the hardtop removal and putting the soft top in place. There are a few bolts that...
  3. Tonneau Cover for 2Dr?

Honestly, when I had the cover off (the Jeep) it didn’t look even look close to being a possible fit and I forgot about coming back to post. The Jeep has since been traded in for a new car by my son so I can’t test it now unless he left the cover here. It wasn’t going to work and look good...
  4. 399 miles on “new” outer banks

I haven’t read all the replies but I don’t believe this is true. I purchased my Bronco from a dealer in Maine and registered it in NY. It was a dealer demo with a lot more miles than 399 and it was registered in NY as a new vehicle and my warranty started from the date of delivery.
  5. Can you prepay or “pay off” your lease?

As others have noted, once you set the lease terms you owe the amount due. Paying that amount in 36 payments or 1 doesn’t change the amount. Let’s say you do a 36 month lease and decide in month 2 you want to pay it off - they don’t discount the amount for you. You’d pay the full amount and...
  6. Bestop Trektop Review for 2021-2023 Ford Bronco

Bestop answer some of the remarks/questions but: There is no sagging of the Bestop Trektop in the middle as noted above. It folds all the way back leaving both rows open and I can’t remember 1 time it blocked the rear view. It was the complete opposite of our Wrangler top, which always...
  7. Bestop Trektop Review for 2021-2023 Ford Bronco

I have a two door OBX with the trektop. I did not notice a big difference in the noise levels when I changed over in the spring or back to the hardtop in Nov. We also had a dual top Wrangler and I thought the noise levels are much lower in the Bronco compared to that. I’m a big fan of the...
  8. Out of State Buying - Yes it is that easy.

Did the same thing in Dec 21. Spent most of Nov/Dec searching, emailing and calling dealers across the country. Found several at msrp or just over, settled on one in Maine and the salesperson delivered it himself Christmas Eve.
  9. Floor liner option?

The Ford liners are on sale on CJ Pony Parts and you’ll get an extra 6% off as a first time customer when you give your email. Edit: much cheaper on Levittownfordparts.com
  10. Floor liner option?

I’m typically pro WeatherTech but I’m not crazy about the liners for my 2 door. My drivers side liner seems to pop out often and the liner for the back, which isn’t used much, doesn’t fix to anything and seems more like an after thought for them.
  11. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Very early on we drove 5ish hours all loaded up with a Yakima roof platform and Thule roof box and trailer platform from NY to VT in our 2dr 2.7 OBX. I drove eco mode the whole way and I was cruising at high 18s most of the way until I hit VT. I ended up at 16.8 that trip and many thousands of...
  12. Real world MPG

2dr 2.7 OBX with Falken Wildpeaks instead of standard OBX tires. I’m at 16.8 mpg after 17k miles in almost all normal mode (my sons always drive in sport). I’m probably 75/25 non-highway to highway driving and I also have a Yakima roof platform and sometimes a Thule roof box (for trips) on it...
  13. 5k over MSRP when titling out of state?

There is nothing “extra” for dealers to do with out of state sales (at least between ME and NY). My OBX came with temporary tags from Maine and I needed to go to NYS DMV to register it and pay NYS taxes. It actually couldn’t have been easier for the Maine dealer other than delivering it to me...
  14. 5k over MSRP when titling out of state?

I bought my 2dr OBX from a dealer in Maine. I’m in NY. It was their demo. They wanted 10k ADM when I first contacted them. A month later they wanted 5k over and a few weeks after that (Dec of 21) they were willing to come way down to move it. There was no mention of any sort of requirement...
  15. Soft Top life expectancy and warranty

We just traded in our 2014 Wrangler. We had dual tops so the soft top was only on from March/April to November but I loaded that top into the trunk last week and it was as good as new after 9ish years.
  16. How many miles before your 1st windshield chip/crack

I made it to around 16.5k miles with two small chips in the windshield and no other issues and then one morning last month I had a crack from the passenger side edge about 6-7 inches. Not connected to any chips, just a random crack. By the end of that week the crack was all the way across the...
  17. Who is offering the best trade in values for the Bronco currently?

Try algonation.com. I saw them mentioned here last year when we were thinking about selling our Wrangler when used car values were sky high and they quoted us a really high number. Of course we didn’t sell then. A year and ~8k miles later and it was worth $9k less but they still gave us the...
  18. Updated Soft Top design improvements spotted on 2023MY Bronco

We had a 4 door Wrangler for 5 years and I had my Bestop on my 2Dr Bronco all last spring/summer. Number of times in those 6ish years I wished I could left the rear of the top to access the back of either - 0. It’s functionality no one was asking for. In exchange you get wavey windows no one...
  19. Tire newbie looking for advice

I switched out to Falken Wildpeaks SL rated on my OBX last year and have been very happy. They have just enough of a more rugged look (for me) with very little difference in ride quality. I shopped all over for the best price and eventually just bought them through Ford using my Ford Pass...
  20. Looking to order a Bronco here soon, tire questions!

Based on what you describe you are driving much like I do (I also work from home) - to the gym, to my golf club, on weekend trips, etc. As much of my travel is around town, my gas mileage is horrible. I can’t imagine what it would be if I had SAS on it. Keep in mind that once you get it you...
