Itās one thing to understand that you wonāt be delivering products for a while, but are taking pre-orders anyways. Itās another thing to have production delays. Those things happen.
But the fact that they required the full payment up front is really unacceptable when they knew there was no way...
FYI, I called my local ford dealer (Barbeeās Freeway Ford in Denver, CO) this morning after receiving the letter. Iām technically outside the build date listed in the letter but since Iām experiencing this problem they agreed to do the software update no questions asked. They even are able to do...
If you really really want to make your car shine, then this is a great video. Pain in the ass to clay bar the entire car but it really makes it look brand new.
I used the official Bronco app in moab in May. Overall, it worked well, until it didn't At one point in the trail it just failed to reconnect and I had no way to use it. I ended up taking the wrong turn and getting into a pretty hairy off-road situation with an extremely steep downslope...
Installed the pressure switch kit on the trickflate and ordered the 4 tire inflation system as well. Works fantastically. Iām a real wiring noob and it was done in 45 minutes from beginning to end. Make sure to use Teflon tape on every piece because they will leak if you donāt.
SXS are pretty awesome. Fast and extremely capable. Doesnāt require the same kind of insurance as a real car, maintenance is dead simple. Itās not as complex as buying a used Cherokee and modifying it for rock crawler only duty. Or as risky as taking your Bronco out for some 7-10 lvl off road...
If you are worried about it on a road trip, you should sell it because it's junk. Any brand-new vehicle (I don't care what it costs) should be able to do a 1500-mile road trip without mechanical problems.
For those that are asking about camping, there are a Boatload of dispersed/BLM options out there. No need to pay for a campsite unless you really need those amenities. My personal favorite is either Willow Springs Rd (huge spread out desert/sand area) or Gemini Bridges (but that one fills up fast).
I spend a lot of time in the mountains and I would say mine is barely passable. Not as good as my 2019 ZR2 was. Next winter I might adjust it in Forscan and see if that makes a difference, but itās not a huge deal. It would be nice if the whole wheel got warm, not just certain points.
Safety is one thing, sure. But nobody seems to be talking about the liability risk. If someone t-bones you in an intersection or cuts into your lane on the freeway and hits you (100% their fault) and their insurance company finds out you were overweight on a trailer, then they will for sure...
Unless you live somewhere with no traffic, get the automatic. I owned a stick for years (and I loved them) and although they are more engaging to drive, they are really annoying to live with. Sticks are great for weekend sports cars but the Bronco is my daily and therefore it needs to be automatic.
I noticed a big difference after installing the DirtyDog headliner but I didnāt use a decibel meter or anything. That being said it probably takes a good 10-15 mins to install/uninstall. If I could go back in time I would probably try the cheap 2ā foam mattress solution first before spending...
They are building way too many of these for them to really retain their value in any meaningful way. Itās also not an overbuilt or over engineered car. They really arenāt rare or special, even with a ārareā spec like the one OP has. In 20 years they will be a dime a dozen just like everything else.
It seems to be overblown. But there is still risk. If you wheel it correctly, and know how the breakage happens (and how to avoid it) then you should be pretty safe. Risk is higher with bigger tires, of course.
For now, best option seems to be to learn how to wheel the bronco correctly, and...
Personally, I tried Mabett and the fitment was horrible. After hours of prying with them to get them to fit the brackets they sent I returned them. I might try IAG next.
Yeah, getting an aftermarket bumper would be the best route, I think. Is that even an option? Depending on the estimate, to have them cut me a check instead?
Can anyone recommend a good collision shop in the Denver area? My brand-new baby was hit from behind last night with minor damage to the bumper. Their insurance is taking full responsibility, but now I need to think if I want to work with one of their partner shops or find my own. Any...
