I sold my 2011 BMW 328i touring. It was a nearly fully optioned RWD/sport package (most are AWD), that also had the extremely rare OEM performance Aero bodywork, m-performance exhaust, etc... I sold it to a friend and now I see it all the time lol.
I do miss it and I'd probably still have it...
I'm wondering the same thing. I've had a number of old BMW's with 150k+ mile Getrag 5-speeds (one of them had 410k on the original Getrag G240) that sound far worse than the bronco's and they drove and shifted perfectly fine.
Small update following the cold snap: it got down to -15F here overnight the last couple days. My Bronco sits outside and on the morning cold start (when it was around -5F after sitting out all night) the noises weren't much different than other warmer-ish mornings and I still couldn't hear it...
I'm at 9k miles since having the TSB completed now. It has been consistently below freezing here and I really have to listen to hear anything while idling in neutral/clutch out, still shifts and drives perfectly fine. It does make a little noise that I can hear while driving in low gears but not...
I have the Mabett pods with Polk Audio DB652 speakers on my 4dr with B&O. I'm very happy with the speakers themselves and can tell a definite difference between the Polk's and stock. I'm not an audiophile but the sound overall is more "full" in the rear vs. the factory 4". I will say the quality...
I have 8k miles on the TSB/"D" sychro repair now, and it's still better than pre-repair at 5.8k miles. Temperatures have been below 30F every morning now, some mornings even in the teens/single digits. Sitting in neutral with the clutch out my transmission is still essentially silent. If there...
I recognized this grille immediately, E30's are the best!! Here's mine:
It's a 1991 BMW 318is that I've had for 10ish years, very far from stock nowadays but it's my forever car.
I actually really like the connected Nav, I think I have another year or two before it runs out. What I can't stand is the XM radio. I think the stations are terrible and when my trial ended they would not stop calling for weeks and couldn't understand that I didn't want it. I've been trying to...
I'm changing my badlands over to a set of black diamond steelies so that's my vote. I like the utilitarian look and I'll be much less sad when I scrape those on a rock vs. when I scratched up the optional beadlock wheels I have on it now...
I've got nearly 6k miles on the 'D' synchros now, still silent and shifting nicely. Its getting colder here with a couple mornings just below 40F and it's still quiet on those cold starts so far too.
Looks like a great time, and awesome fall colors too! I made my first trip to Tigerton a few weeks ago, I agree with it being totally worth the trip! Already thinking about the next time.
