Wouldn't that be classed as a medium or heavy duty vehicle, and thus exempt?
PHEVs should be an interesting off roading choice. Assuming Chyr...err, Stellantis builds the Hurricane to some level of reliability, that might be a pretty strong option with a mild hybrid setup that meets the...
Well, it is also a Jaguar model. Just not the XJ under discussion here. Jeeps have a 2 letter designation that tells their model and generation, but it's not the model name they are sold under.
As an example both a TJ and a CJ are "Wranglers" but the TJ is the generation after the CJ. So...
Worm is turning, marketwise. Look at repo data for cars less than 2 years old: https://www.carscoops.com/2022/07/repossessions-on-cars-are-exploding-and-thats-bad-news-for-everyone/
Inflation worries, interest rates rising, gas prices staying high. All that puts pressure downward on the car...
If the cost is minimal, I say yes it's worth it. Especially if you have expensive headlights. OEM panels tend to fit better and OEM headlights are generally better quality in terms of durability and longevity than cheaper aftermarket components.
Or the steering is midajusted from the factory, and with what Jeep thinks is Quality Control that happens more then you'd think. I test drove two nearly identical Gladiators. One tracked and drove like you'd expect. The other was a jittery mess constantly requiring input to track straight...
I'm surprised at how little car knowledge someone apparently needs to be an Edmunds car reviewer these days. Must be recruiting from the sale pool as car salesmen. Uh, Raptor go fast over bump bumps. Buy em for big fun.

Sucks, but you can generally negotiate better than X-plan in "normal times" on "normal vehicles" anyway.
FWIW, I hold shares via Schwab and did not receive any notification.
How badly do we think Ford is going to botch this launch?
I want one. I start thinking about a lightweight Raptor and the Whipple Stage 1 kit from Steeda for the 3.0, and I'm at half mast already.
A bunch. Only two that I miss on occasion:
1971 IHC Scout II
1975 K5 Blazer
Scout prices *skyrocketed*. Probably because there's only 7 left that aren't piles of rust and an IHC emblem... :D
It's like they've never heard of acceleration and the only thing power is for is max top speed. Truly baffling. They must never have to pass on a two lane, merge with traffic off a short ramp, maintain speed on steep inclines, or just enjoy the sensation of being pushed back in your seat by...
True, but also incomplete. Futures market is the reason oil went negative. The biggest traders never actually 'touch' the oil because they are not oil companies or refiners or end users. They are financial institutions. They only touch paper and expect to move that paper before it turns in...
Many of my friends are management in auto parts manufacturing facilities. Parts are not being held to the same standard, including by former "quality kings" like Toyota. Parts that would have been rejected pre-COVID are now happily accepted. This includes primarily cosmetic defects on parts...
Even ignoring holdback for a minute:
Dealerships have multiple profit centers.
1) New cars
2) Used cars
3) Parts/Service
4) F&I (finance office, big big mark ups on warranties and various BS they sell you, kickbacks on financing, etc)
5) Body shop
Obviously not all have #5. New sales is not...
Even cheaper to not buy the truck...
I completely understand that everyone is in a different place financially, but if fuel is a significant amount of your budget (and you aren't driving for a living), two vehicles probably isn't the way to improve that.
