Day 1 reservations are July 13, 2020, timestamped July 14 in the FoMoCo system because they use GMT.
An Oct 2019 reservation wouldn't exist. And Oct 2020 reservation could have received a golden ticket IF it was the oldest unfullfilled reservation at that specific dealer. Not many like...
My dealer called me today. They haven't had one scheduled yet but said their ford rep called them today and told them pick one for scheduling. They picked mine as it was the very first reservation they received.
Almost 2 years to the day. Rep told them 6-8 weeks til build for next round of...
Yes, they do. All day, every day.
People finance accessories, extended warranties, handling fees, taxes etc. Plus dealer markups are not a new thing.
Every bank sets a % over msrp they will go on an individual vehicle for each specific borrower.
The last two cars I financed I was...
There are stocks that pay big dividends. A 4.5% loan is still free money.
Let's look at financing a 75k car. Over 60 months(5 years), you pay $8,894 in interest.
Over 36 months, you would pay $3,856 in interest.
Let's pick a random stock. I know of one that pays 5.77% annually...
Did this supposed email have a deadline? Because thus far nothing timeline wise has been communicated to hand raisers other than the following:
"We plan to open order banks in March and will send you an email when it's time to order your Bronco Raptor."
Again, two different types of allocations. One is customer specific, one is not.
Ford made it eaay on themselves by preventing us from switching dealers. Ford screwed dealers by making the first allocations customer specific.
Let's assume(for sake of argument) that dealer margin is 10%...
There are 3 types of raptor allocations.
That FAQ doesn't clarify anything.
Literally we will all know shortly. If dealers can order for a GT holder without GT holder agreeing, none of us will be getting the exact color/options/interior we want because they will be deciding for us.
We will find out in an hour or so. What I have been told is that the GT allocations are specific to the GT winner and will have to be confirmed in their ford.com account after order is submitted.
If GT winner elects to build a regular bronco, that allocation for a raptor no longer...
It hasn't been clarified as of yet. Ford is telling customers that the allocation lives and dies with the customer, but some zone reps are telling dealers the opposite. No one truly knows yet.
Groove Ford. They never called me, so today I went back and spoke to the new car sales manager. He said they are getting 10 allocations for golden ticket holders.
He claimed to not know what his normal allocation is. He said all golden ticket holders will be subject to a 15k markup on a...
I am going to wait to talk to the GM or sales manager before I out them. They are out of town this week. Could be a misunderstanding on the sales person's end.
Or if the hand raiser allotments/shipments are solely based on what the hand raiser orders. If no hand raiser orders a raptor, the dealer doesn't get those raptors. For example, If i change back to a wildtrak, the dealer would only get my wildtrak.
Stopped by my dealer today. One person told me 15k ADM for the 8 they are getting, even if Ford enforces price protection, because they have had "11,000" inquiries. Sales rep told me 30k to 40k regardless of what ford says. They didn't seem interested in meeting me or even know what a "hand...
At this point no one knows, not even the dealers.
That disclaimer about final sale price could just be referring to dealer handling and processing fees, because even if everyone pays msrp, we won't each be paying the exact same from one dealer to another.
I'm waiting it out to see what...
I had planned to list the Wildtrak, but I don't plan to list the BRaptor. Too rare to risk it getting destroyed. In 4 years? Maybe.
I have a 4runner on there now and have a Subaru outback on order that may or may not get listed too. Managing more than 2 cars is a pain if you offer...
I am a Turo host. Turo prohibits ALL off road use, even dirt roads. If a customer goes off road, they lose their protection plan entirely.
If a host advertises a car for the dunes or specifically to go off road, the host loses their protection plan also.
FYI
I called Ford's Bronco customer service line today. The woman I spoke with said that golden ticket holders are going to get price protection just like cancelled MY 21 orders recieved for MY 22 orders.
She also said Ford is very aware of dealers planning ADM but it won't affect golden ticket...
Status didn't matter as long as it had not been built/scheduled AND you had converted your reservation to an order for 21 MY which then got cancelled by ford.
I never resubmitted my order for a 22 MY, instead I crossed my fingers waiting for raptor announcement. Glad I did.
