I also found this; Bronco Rear Window MOLLE Panel
Seems like this could make some dead space quite useful, but at $200/side, also quite pricy.
The Bronco Center Console MOLLE Panel seems like a better deal at $109/side.
Heads up if you haven't seen this; Built Right Industries MOLLE COMPATIBLE CARGO PANEL
This looks like a very good option if you are not looking for a security enclosure, but want all the MOLLE panels. It does not include a rear panel or top panel and certainly does not look as sturdy as the...
I plan to try new struts at some point. The [soft]top will rest on the lid without the kickstand anyway, and it only goes about as far up as the lid -- having the kickstand sit on the lid wouldn't really help. Having a second kickstand on the lid wouldn't hurt for safety, if nothing else.
The fenders are at least an inch wider. There is a lot more meat on the outside of the trail guide, meaning the grille is wider as well, and possibly even a bit outboard of the reflector. I predict the fender to fender is at least 2.5" wider. Flares look to add another 2" over the Sasquatch...
If you don't mind, let us know how it goes and the cost. I'm debating on it, but I'm not keeping a museum piece, so my plan is just to minimize the damage - it's not worth a mint to keep it showroom.
Sorry, realized I took these pictures and never came back to post them.
The keen eyed will have caught that some of the hardware is rusting. Some inexperienced designer used black oxide button head bolts for a few spots where the black finish looked better than the nickel chrome. If only they...
My soft top has been in heavy rain with no issues. Both parked and while driving. Granted, "Heavy" rain may be somewhat subjective, but we're talking about wipers on high, still could barely see. I believe this issue has to do with the Hard Top not sealing properly to the leading edge above...
I just power washed my soft top extensively and did not notice any leaking like this. There was a very small amount along the edges of the windows where I directly sprayed them.
Just dropped mine off with my dealer yesterday, had them do a complete fluid check of the driveline, and an oil...
I don't know why you would get a fixed top. I have pointed out some issues with mine, but for the little price difference, I still don't see why you would want the fixed lid. With some minor design tweeks, it would be excellent.
If you're thinking about folding down the rear seats for cargo...
Blasphemy? Only if you're too fancy for your skinny jeans.
It's just a mess under there, but there's room. What are you trying to put in there, an overland tent?
Ford wanted $2500, and that was ridiculous to me.
Call me when you have a prototype. BTW, I want it to go all the way to the end...
The real problem is that you shouldn't be getting that much water in that channel to begin with. Those look more like they were designed to be weeping holes, only to drain condensation and incidental water that makes it past the seal. If you're getting multiple ounces of water in there, look...
Interesting. Thanks for correcting me on this. It seems my coworker was misled as well. Sorry to pass along bad information.
I still maintain that it's not worth saving $1k (or less) on the front end for an out of state purchase. I wouldn't even go across town for a few hundred bucks. The...
