@Dusty Thanks for putting out another video with your wife. I always think back to that early one where you remind the guys to include their SOs.
And now I need to wath the video to see what I need to do this as well.
Eric,
My Adventure Designs tool kit for my Tiger 800XCx came with a steel multi tool that has the larger sizes cut into it and is sturdy enough to hit with a hammer for encouragement.
It's really meant for removing the wheels, but also works great as a second wrench for 21mm, 17mm and 2 others...
I do have wiring for a 4 pin. That came with the trailer hitch kit.
I have your post bookmarked for reference from back in 21' when you did the write up. Things look like they've gotten easier since then.
I have a 22' Base model.
I had my dealer install the BRONCO 2021-2024 TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER TOWING, but when they installed the OEM hitch, they said there was no 7-pin. Well... the guy at the front desk said there wasn't one. I wasn't able to speak to the actual mechanic.
I got the...
The brake controller plugs into the harness but doesn't do anything without the module in the rear and the harness that runs from the module to the 7 pin connector.
I do need to pull off that panel and see what's there, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
RagnarKon, do you think this kit would fit the 22? I already have the brake modulator installed (by the dealer) and the the hitch. I know I'm missing the module and the wire harness from the module to 7-Pin. Or do you think it would be cheaper and easier to just get the wire harness and module?
Oh gods... I've been looking at the Overlander Toyota kit for a friend of mine who has zero tools. But the tools direct from Tekron are ~$800. And looking at that set, it looks like an expanded version of what the Bronco would need. And I want her to have quality tools that she can feel good...
If the issue is CO2 output of your fleet, and again its the fleet under CAFE and not the individual engine or platform, can't meet goals given a decade prior then you have vad engineers, buisness models and planners.
Again the EPA did not ban the 392. It did not ban the V8. They set 2026 goals...
Alright, then cite the EPA regulation that is "killing off" the 392. Or the EPA order to Stellantis stating the 392 had to be abolished. Yes, it's a class 2A vehicle, so it falls under the LightVic CAFE requirement, but that average is fleet wide, which is how Toyota has the 4Runner with a...
Yeah the lack of BOM is annoying. Overland Outfitters has a kit for the Toyotas made of Tekron tools that runs a ~1k. The tools themselves are ~800 from Tekron and the roll separately is ~200, so they're pretty on the nose.
I'm just looking for a Bronco-specific toolset. I already have my...
The EPA isn't to blame for this. The 2024 392 costs 94k for a base model in an economy where most people can't afford to buy a house. There's just not the market for a large number of them. Hell, they only sold ~12k in the initial model year, and luxury items like these have a very limited...
