~30 Days after receiving mine with the 2.0 top this summer, it started showing on the roof. Ford has accepted the warranty claim, but both replacement tops they shipped were damaged in shipping. I'm now waiting on the backordered roof.
So interestingly enough, I've ordered that part number, twice, and the bolts that have delivered are not stamped as Bronco and simply have a standard torx socket head. Side by side with the mirror, they're very obviously different.
Ohh I've definitely thought of and had that conversation.
They're "not able to remove parts from new unsold vehicles" and are trying to deflect blame too... you name it: Ford for not having the part; the other Dealer branch that they transferred my vehicle too in order to have the windshield...
Has anyone else been told that "Bronco Bolts" are not available except on a new vehicle?
The dealer lost my cowl bolts while doing the windshield adhesive recall and is telling me they can't get exact replacements, only standard torx bolts with different size from the OEM Bolts.
It's ~7" Extension. It's just barely recessed from the tire with the tailgate closed. You would think it would be an issue, but it really hasn't been. I drive my Bronco for work, loading and unloading ~5 times a day. I really haven't had any problems, although I do have the cargo drawer & open...
I've been trailering quite a bit and had run into this exact issue initially. Ford offers that ~7" extension hitch, in order to combat this issue. I grew up on a ranch and summered on my uncle's farm, towing constantly, and don't like adding a connection/weak point for towing. I simply...
I can attest that speed and the wheel size makes a huge difference to mileage as well. I commute ~140 miles, with the OBX as my only vehicle. I'm running MT 265/65's. I get 19mpg for the 70mph 1/2 of my commute and 23 for the 55mph 1/2. I'm averaging 20mpg overall for the last 2,800 miles.
I didn't drive my OBX with the stock tires. However, I can say that at ~1k miles so far they are much quieter than the Bridgestone Dualer A/T's and KO2's that I had on my Trailhawk... although, expectedly, a bit more noticeable than the Cooper Discoverer's. The Cooper's were very quiet (but...
I went in a slightly different direction than the majority here with the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 265-65 R18. All the 35's on this thread look epic, but I put ~20k miles a year on and 12mpg won't cut it.
So I thought this was interesting. My Bronco had 12 miles on it when it delivered and the dealer wanted me to wait a day to pick it up, as it was exceptionally dirty. I drove directly over, of course. It had a good heavy coating of mud / grime / sand on everything. Far more than typical road...
NP. Thanks. I had Bauman Ford. Original delivery estimate 3/22. Dealer and Ford Tracker had no idea / no update. The tracking app did update from "hold" to "picked" about 6 days before it delivered, but it never said "Shipped".
Hang in there. I'm in Toledo as well and my date was pushed out for the 11th time yesterday to next Thursday... and then today, without notice, it arrived. I think we're too close for the trackers to keep up.
