My 2022 just blew a 2.7 at a little over 26k miles. Check engine light came on and I noticed some smoke and a smell. Checked coolant and it was very low and a little dirty. Dealer says they found coolant in cylinder one. Will be getting a new engine.
I love the way it looks, even without the trim pieces! I haven’t had to use the recovery points yet. I’m waiting for one more piece of my JCR skid plates to arrive before I can put those on and get out on the trails. Hopefully I still won’t have to use them, but I’d rather have them and not need...
It was just over 3 months for me. I ordered mine November 9th 2021 and it was delivered to the dealer February 15th 2022. It depends what you order and what dealer you order from. I would have gotten the hardtop and mod bumper but chose not to because they were constraints. The Sasquatch package...
I got a chance to 3D scan my bumper and the factory trim cover pieces last weekend. I’m going to try to design my own trim pieces off of the scans. I haven’t had time to dig into it yet but I think we got some that’ll be good enough to work with. 3D scanning is new to me so it’ll be a fun...
If you want a D ring like that I’d suggest looking for a set off of a capable bumper like the one below. Although, if you make your own you’ll have more control over the size and location.
Also, I would not plan too much on using the push pins on the factory trim piece. As you can see in the...
1. Almost all of the trimming was just plastic but there was one small bump on the steel backing plate that I needed to grind down. I believe it was only there as a locating feature for aligning the plastic part to the steel backing plate. It was right about where the unused hole on the recovery...
I have a couple of questions that I’m hoping someone with a Badlands, Black Diamond or FE can help answer. This bumper is the standard factory rear bumper on Badlands, FE, and Black Diamond. I am curious what the height and width are of the flat rectangular surface that the license plate mounts...
I installed a set of factory mod bumper tow hooks with the plastic bumper on my Bronco. I want to run JCR skid plates which require the factory tow hooks to be removed if you have the plastic bumper. I didn’t want to be left without any recovery points on the front of my Bronco so I decided to...
Those mount in the same location as the factory tow hooks with the plastic bumper so they would not work with the skid plates I am planning to run. The JCR skid plate covers that location like the factory mod bumper bash plate.
I was about to order some JCR skid plates the other day when I realized that I would have to remove my front tow hooks. I didn’t want to be left without any recovery points on the front of my Bronco so I decided to try to make the mod bumper tow hooks fit with my plastic bumper. I found a set...
Did you reuse the 6 bolts (3 on each side) that hold the bumper to the frame? The bolts that are behind the plastic cover on the standard bumper and that go through the shackle mount/tow hook and into the frame on the modular bumper. I am wondering if the ones that come with the standard bumper...
Looking to buy stock tow hooks from a modular bumper or shackles from a capable bumper. Looking for a matching pair of either the tow hooks or shackles. Only interested in black tow hooks. I know Ford sells other colors but I am only interested in the black ones. Here are some examples of what...
