it's a long story but I essentially have all 5 rims and rings I could sell..... however one of the rims has a few beauty ring bolts that won't fully go back in. I got new tires and the tire shop had an issue with the last rim and didn't want to force them in.... so they bought me a new Ford...
I have your exact setup. I bought a set of WT rims and tires. I pulled off the 35s and went with a 285/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (33"). The 2.3 3.73 is happier than with the 35s. The MT tires are 49lbs and only about a inch shorter than the GY 35s. The MT are an SL rated tire so not...
You might look at the 285/70/17 (33") Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. It's an SL rated tire, but it's a 49lb tire that is an A/T. I have them on my F150 and love them. I just put a set of the 285s on my wife's Bronco.
I used Forscan to change the tire size settings. The size of tire that comes on the Big Ben is a 255/75/17 so I expected to find was 2558 (mm of tire circumference). What was loaded in was 2475 - which is a 255/70/17 base tire.
That makes the spedo read 70, but the bronco is actually going 72.3...
My wife has the 2.3l auto and I just put the 35” SAS wheels/tires on it.
It’s not as peppy but seemed to handle it well.
I’m opting to go with a 285/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (49lbs per tire), plus the surface area with the pavement is 10% less which should help with MPGs and adding...
Paintable OBX flares from Ford parts are 1k. They don’t come painted. I looked up the part numbers. I’m probably going with the painted SAS fenders in the link above.
you can't get it from the seller of a modular bumper because it's also a support for the intercooler. So you either are going to have to buy two brackets or use yours and cut the tow hooks off of it.
