@cyberfalco I'm having something come up this Saturday so I might have to either go and leave at lunchtime or not go at all. Kinda stinks cause I've been planning this since last year. Sorry if I don't make it.
Will have to skip the July ride cuz July is just too much going on. Except for the 15th, yall need to show up at the Hot Springs Off Road Park Fun Run. We didn't have enough broncos there last time, need more.
My second trip with Expedition X Offroad, what a great bunch of guys! I went last August and had to go back in April this year when we traveled 13 hours south of the border to Loreto, Mexico. This is just a long video of pictures and clips from Mobettie, TX (Castaway movie crossroads scene)...
This is not a Starlink / @ZROADZOFFICIAL roof rack installation video, I suck at trying to make those. I did want to show this since I haven't seen anyone else do it. I headed to Baja, Mexico in a few days and will travel with about 12 other broncos down Baja trail for 6 days. Expedition X...
Headed down some baja offroad trails with Expedition X Offroad ( and about 12 other broncos), will go all the way down to Loreto.
Cell service is pretty crappy until yo9u get to the resort in the afternoons, so I'm trying to get my starlink setup to where it will work.
You were ahead of your time! (SO long ago!!) Have you made any updates? I'm a few days from getting my modified flat mount starlink attached to my roof rack for a trip next week in Baja. I tested it on my truck hood today, works great!
Yes, I bolt the Lowrance bracket straight to the railing. And yes, at higher rates of speed, the internal antennas on the lowrance and the other GPS units (Garmin-that others were using during our Baja trip) said the internal antennas couldn't keep up with their travel and they would miss...
I have an Archtype Racing rail in my bronco and stick it on there. I was concerned about it bouncing around when I went down to Baja but it worked like a champ, no problems.
Thanks for the clarity. Alls I know is that when I talked to Sirius support and told them I don't want my phone streaming it she didn't correct me to say that it was the vehicle modem, not my phone. Maybe she was as confused as I.
Time to go smoke... ;-)
Vehicle Connectivity On is the built in modem, I agree with that And inside that feature are several that you can turn on and off. Sirius is one of them. That is my only point.
Not sure what your smoking in the bluetooth comment...
Do you have proof of this? I'm generally interested. I do know when I have had bad service with my phone that the Siruis radio also has issues. And I have a hard time believing that Ford is paying for my 5G modem built into the bronco to stream Sirius....especially when I talked to a Sirius...
When you connect your phone to your vehicle your "accept" certain connections (phone calls, music library, maps, emails, messages, etc). As far as I know, SiriusXm is the only non-ford company (outside of your phone's operating system) that you agree to. If you don't have an account with Siruis...
When you finally get your bronco and you transfer or start a subscription with SiriusXM (if you have the streaming option-which I didn't know I had) once you connect your phone to your bronco, Sirius will automatically use your phone and cell data to download your music without telling you. So...
A couple weekends ago I attended Wheeling for a Cause that raised money for vets needing help getting back to "normal" life. I wish that I had more pics and video that explains what a worthwhile event it was, but I didn't have those so just made a clip of what I experienced. Hope you enjoy it...
It was a great event, we raised lots of money and the raffle merchandise was epic! From a Ted Nugent signed guitar, Rockslide Engineering skids to a Ford Performance tuner it was all great! The food was excellent! Tylor broke his bronco a couple of times, even had a couple of History channel...
