  1. DIY oem roof rack awning mounts

If they are interested maybe you can make some templates for the pieces and just sell the templates... That can be sent fairly cheap in the mail... They can take the templates to a friend or a local metal shop to have them made..

"I don’t have the skills to do cad sorry." Don't cut yourself short... You did use cad, just old school Cad "Cardboard Aided Design" works best with an eyecrometer.. :ROFLMAO:
  3. IAG steps rusting after a month?

I just want to add a bit to this thread... I was a purchaser of the steps early on... Slowly I watched the steps start to rust. after the second winter. I decided to send an email mentioning of my experience and provide some feedback.(Not knowing of others having the same experience) To my...

Good idea to use the larger retainers for the sensors. Lights are growing on me.... I may eventually add some to the bumper. Looks great!

  8. Rear Bumper show off thread

Sorry just seen this… I do not have the coax style. I did not use. (Let me know if you need it if it will help with your set up.) I like the idea of going through the original grommet (like stock) Although I did go through the vent,I ended up creating a bracket and drill a couple holes to...
  9. Installed my LOD rear bumper and license plate mount.

If you had metal fatigue that is definitely something that I would have documented and sent directly to LOD for comments and/or replacement. Have any photos to show us? I would like to see, I am also going to contact LOD and ask about reported issues. They have been making this set up for...
  10. Installed my LOD rear bumper and license plate mount.

Shims come in the package, however I think I may have needed a little extra so I used a couple of the large washers instead. I have some pictures in the "show off your rear bumper" thread I started. There are others that have chimed in as well. @cbrownabq On the Rack... $ I understand... I...
  11. Rear Bumper show off thread

On the LOD bumper they have a positive stop that is bolted on the bumper itself. There is a tab welded onto the swing carrier. When the swing carrier reaches the positive stop it will not go any further. You can choose where you want the tail gate/carrier to stop. Not high tech, just a stop...

Thanks... I will look closer to see if those ideas are possible... Locks keep honest men honest... The rest will take whatever they want...
  13. Rear Bumper show off thread

I noticed on the gladiator Destroyer bumper they mount the trailer plug in the recessed area of the bumper. I will look and if there is enough room I will cut a hole and modify the plug to fit similarly. "If" there is enough room to access for plugging and unplugging with the spare time mounted.
  14. Rear Bumper show off thread

I think folks may also want to see side views also. It may help a decision.
  15. Rear Bumper show off thread

I like the idea of lowering the tire a bit, I considered it myself. However I realize that it would make it difficult to hook and unhook the trailer (the latch mechanism) I use the trailer frequently, so it is not an option for me. I like the way you have the cans tucked away. I had to run...

I went and looked at the road armor bumper mentioned... Nice but that is even more $:ROFLMAO:

A quick photo with the rack mounted...You can actually still see through the rearview mirror even with the rack on. Wow looks pretty good :ROFLMAO:
  18. Installed my LOD rear bumper and license plate mount.

One other item that you may have to address... I had to shim the bracket for the tire carrier mount to allow the spare tire carrier to sit parallel with the tailgate. Other folks I spoke with also had to shim the carrier bracket.
  19. Installed my LOD rear bumper and license plate mount.

I also agree with his comments on getting additional center bezels. I may eventually swap them all out for the larger flat sensor clips. For some reason I am seeing the large flat sensor clips on the Wild track. I added the rack to mine the other day. still trying to determine where I want...
  20. 2 Door Cargo Containment

Stop the back portion at the tailgate. Fold passenger seat out of way. Lengthen the passenger side of the cargo net/mesh and extend to front up to dash. The front portion would be fastened to the upper roof structure. The nets can easily hold the weight of an adult. Not for older folks but...
